Yea, I'm very excited about it. I read some professionalk reviews and some programmers are even jealous of the way the guys at Yahoo! have coded it! You won't believe this but there is drag and drop functionality within the new Y! mail interface and messages can be opened in tabs! I've signed up for the beta testing which is available only to yahoo.com members but haven't recieved any word from them yet! Hope you have better luck.

Yeah i cant wait for this interface. However, i am and always will be a fan of Gmail. I have used it since it started and i love it. Everytime i log in and check it a new feature is up and those always make life even better. I like its interface and i think Yahoo! should copy it. It rocks

It looks awesome to me. Google was leading the way for a while. No one else challenged it. Then of course Microsoft's Live! came into play and this just heats up all the other email services and it all works out toward our advantage Soon we'll have paid level email for free! All are competing. I would love to test it, but of course, they have to invite you. so I will just wait. Great topic though by the way.

From what I hear, the interface is very similar to Outlook/Outlook express. I may have not tried it yet, but going by experiences with YahooMail, which had a lot of spam problems in the past (and Hotmail). I probably will be sticking with Gmail, much more easier and the search function helps find a lost post I may search for one day.

I have always thought of yahoo as having really bad interfaces to all their services. But now it looks as thou they have picked up a bit. I still dont think it is as good as outlook as I have outlook 2003 on win XP and the interfact is much better still but its getting. It gonna be better than GMAILs interface will ever be...which will be a down for google but I am not sure how many people will actually be drawn by this interface unless yahoo improve their services, I am saying through bt yahoo! broadband which has yahoo services to it and they have bad support etc. I am not sure if it is different for yahoo mail...

I've seen your pictures of the Yahoo Beta they're planning on releasing. It's all pretty and nice, but my main concern will always be security and encryption. I've never had any problems with Yahoo before, and I'm sure I never will. They offer outstanding services that are always running 24/7. It will be exciting to see companies such as Yahoo and Google compete to offer larger and larger capacities of e-mail space to the public in order to spark their interest and gain more customers. Technology gets cheaper daily, and continues to grow at an amasing pace. It will be exciting to see how the future unfolds, and scarry at the same time.

QUOTE(itssami @ Dec 14 2005, 10:46 PM) Wow ...it looks good...But is there any way to get invitation to use that YAhoo Beta ? Yes, you have to sign up to get an invite to use Yahoo Mail Beta. You can do that here. I signed up a month ago, i just received some mail from Yahoo stating that i'm fine in the waiting list and that i would be receiving the invite to use Yahoo Mail Beta very soon. Anyone who got their Yahoo Mail Beta invite, can you please say after getting the "status of waiting list" mail from Yahoo, how long did it take to receive the invite ?

I've never been a big fan of Yahoo services anyway, and this type of new service doesn't really attract me too much. I don't think I'll use it, I'll stick to GMAIL for now. Maybe I'll try using this if I'm in a big need of a new Email.

closed beta - Sign up (1) This is one of the coolest new things I've come across in a long time. Go to getdropbox.com
and watch the video that is included. It has a pretty descriptive narrative. Basically what this
software does is allow basically allows you to maintain a folder that is accessable from any
computer. Simmilar to how you can just upload a file to a website and re access it from anywhere
else. This gives it a very attractive UI and also makes it pretty simple so the not so tech savvy
parents will be able to easily upload pictures and files to you. Supposedly the tech....

Office 2007 Beta 2 Technical Refresh B2tr Released
(6) Microsft has released 2007 Microsoft Office system Beta 2 Technical Refresh (B2TR) for Microsoft
internal use. This means this beta system will be available to all Microsoft employees 7 days before
the public release. The public release of B2TR will not be announced publicly by Microsoft until 14
september. This b2TR promise to remove all those bugs present in Beta 1 and give the user a fast
hand experience of Office 2007 final release. The final release date of the full version has not yet
been disclosed by Microsoft. Apart from this Windows Vista Rc1 has already been....
Microsoft Office 2007 Beta 2
(6) So has anyone downloaded and tried this yet?
http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/be...en/default.mspx It's the entire suite for free
and it's really cool. It's such a huge difference from the Office 2000 I've been using
for years. It's a big 450 mb download but I think it's worth it. You have to log in to
download it but all you need is a hotmail account and you don't even need to give them legit
info or anything. I just put in garbledy gook for all fields besides email. The installer is fairly
smart and will remove previous versions....
Firefox 2.0 Beta 1
(13) If you've given the newly-released Firefox 2.0 Beta 1 a spin, you've probably noticed that
there aren't a whole lot of eye-popping new features. However, there are a few subtle
improvements that make it a nice upgrade. In addition to built-in spellchecker, Firefox 2.0 also
has close buttons on every individual tab - a much-needed feature (especially on Mac OS X.)
There's also better (but still not great) RSS integration. When you click on a site's feed
icon (at the far end of the address bar), a preview page with the option to choose your feed rea....
Ie 7 Beta 3
(18) Well as I was updating and reinstalling everything on my computerm i came across microsoft ie7
browser since i was going to update it anyways and notice that beta 3 was out all i can say its more
stabled and alot faster i think also the interface is a bit more organized as well. They brought
down some of the icons to the tab bar so the the menu options are not taking up a huge amount of
space up top. but other then that it's comign along nicely i think being somewhat updated and
with a cleaner look as well.....
Windows Vista Beta Available?
There is one going around (60) I have heard and that there is a Windows Vista Beta version going around. I have been to a torrent
site and found few there. But I’m not going to download it because i'm guessing it is illegal.
Do any of you here have Windows Vista Beta? If you do what are the system requirements for it to
run. And i have heard there are few versions of this beta, one without the graphical 3D software
(decreasing system requirements), and one with it. Is this true?....

have the Intel Duo processor, and I think its specs/weight ratio is very good. But, I have to keep

they will continue to reel out new computers until the end of the earth. The Intel® CoreTM Duo

come with a lot of internal wireless options. ....

Skyos Beta 8.5 Better But Still Very Beta
An alternative OS+GUI, a bit like BeOS (0) Mostly for entertainment and to see whether Robert Szeleney (one-man shop) has made much progress on
it, I downloaded and installed SkyOS 5 beta 8.5 on my main basement x86, an eMachines T2958 with
add-in NVidia. I had tried 8.4 but had some issues. Fewer issues in 8.5. This is way-alternative,
far left (or right, rather) of Linux. For an early beta it's pretty slick. Looks and works a
bit like BeOS, but more current and with a custom GUI dev system (SkyGI) that beats the heck out of
X, IMHO. Sky recognized most of my hardware without trouble except no sound. The pa....
