I believe that we've already covered this in another thread.

But in a nutshell:

The Xbox 360 seems to have a better variety of a gaming library. My research on the two consoles' hardware also suggests that the graphical capability of both systems are nearly the same, although the PS3 may have the 360 beat in processor power. (More to come later.) Games for the 360 will be more plentiful not only because it's been out longer, but because the creation of games by developers isn't as difficult as creating games for the PS3 (in which each processor core needs to be considered). Both machines support high definition video and digital sound. Even with the price drops, the 360 still wins as a gaming console, but if you are interested in the potential of Blu-Ray and opt for more of a full entertainment system, the PS3 can be a better choice, given time for more games and hardware upgrades/developments.

Xbox 360 because of two main reasons.


Halo 3 is coming in a couple of days but that isn't my reason.


1.) HD ad BlueRay are competing against each other.
Who will win?

HD will win because of this reason.

Back in the day there were two different types of video to watch.
You could either watch VHS or some other thing.

The reason why VHS got up is because of PORN!

Yes PORN.

Thats the reason why I think HD will go over BlueRay
HD has more porn than BlueRay


2.) I own a Xbox 360 thats why I choose it.

Well Xbox 360 gets my vote hands down. Why you ask?
Simply because I own one. It has given me so much fun and enjoyment, and has been the best console I have ever owned by far. I believe that we shouldn't scrutinise anything, simply pick the one that we enjoy using. I'm sure if I owned a PS3 it would still be great, although everything I've seen for it so far has led me to believe it's the more "serious" console. Not my style I'm afraid.

and. er.. because of all the high-def porn

I've never played a PS3, but I love my 360. I'm sure the PS3 has a lot going for it, and in light of the recent price drop (60-gig version for $500), it sounds like a much better deal on paper. (HDMI out, built-in WiFi, Blueray player... a comperable 360 setup would run you nearly $800!) But the 360 has enjoyed a full year's head start, and that means there's tons of great HD games to play on it right now, with a boatload more on the way this year. The PS3's lineup? Eh. I guess Killzone looks pretty nuts, but that one isn't out until 2008.

If you're just looking to enjoy some crazy HD gaming, the $400 model 360 will blow you away. 720p via component is pretty freakin' rad. If you have the $500 to burn, I recommend you buy a 360, then spend the $100 you save on a gold Xbox Live membership ($50), along with a kickass game like Gears of War, Oblivion, or anything out of the 360's top-tier lineup.

PS3 is the console that have more power, more tech to bend.
When are we going to see a game uses the maximum power of the seven-cells processor?
One cool feature is that you can put a linux yellowdog in the machine if you like.
By putting a linux yellowdog in PS3 is like putting a blender in your car.
There arn't so many titles for the PS3 console, but more to come.
Sony have a big leap to catch up to the market leading microsoft, now speaking about
how long time the console have been on market, gametitles and features.
But PS3 are expanding and catching up, and have made awesome achievements soon
becoming one years old. One cool PS3 title are The eye of judgement, comes with a cam,
board and a starter deck with 30 cards. The cam scans the board when putting cards that
appear on the screen as monsters, armies and fortress. I want to see microsoft compete
with a similair game to that as sony competes for facemapping feature in vegas.

Choose your console with your heart not for brand or tech is my advice.

why not get both?
i mean getting both will mean that there would be no argument.
Anyway if you only have the budget to buy one then i suggest the XBOX 360, it has a lot more features, can act as a media centre and is cheaper (atleast cheaper in AUS anyway) That's why I support XBOX, but if you are a fan of sony (which a lot of people are) then go for the PS3, the graphics processing power is almost the same but the PS3's GPU will have lower temperatures due to a lower clock speed, the XBOX 360 is prone to overheating if you play like 5 hours on end. I support the XBOX because it is cheaper, has more games, similar processing/GFX power to PS3 and can act as a media centre

Well this debate will rage on and on forever untill ps4 and XBOX (???) are rolled out.

But for now..

Lets first take the PS 3
A MONSTER .A jaw dropping 9 times faster than X-BOX 360.Better graphics better sound better everything BUT the big thing is that the game developers havent yet been able to really expliot that sort of power to give us a gaem whcih can tap all its resources.So may be 2 years down the line when developers wake up we may consider buying PS-3

XBOX 360

Lacks on all fornts from the PS 3 but the thing where it leads is the number of games and the games tap all its resources.

the dark horse.With the motion simulator<whatever it is called> u can actually interactively play games BUT unfortunately the game library available is far to less.


SO ALL IN ALL X-BOX 360 appears a better buy now but 2 years down the line SONY WILL RULE.......
