ABSOLUTLEY shock sites. Man those things are absoultley horrendous. Sometimes my browser catches it, but other times it freaking screams "HEY EVERYBODY IM LOOKING AT GAY PORNO". Tasteless junk.
I don't believe that I've ever encountered a shock site. Porn. However that is debatable since it can be considered beneficial in keeping a large amount of perverts from harming others or may simply encourage it. :\ I've seen some sites that are morally wrong. Not just sico or bizarre..but beyond sadistic such as those that offer streaming video content of women being degraded, choked until death, stabbed or sliced open, fondled, etc.. all in the same video. :\ It really concerns me as to whether it is a strong influence on its viewers.
What is disgusting on internet is spams and lots and lots of pop-ups producing sites. There are some sites that have pop-ups in every pages. Specially many of those fan sites, since those fan sites try to survive on advertisements. But I've never visit again those kinds of sites as soon as pop-ups are opened up. I've come across shocking sites and I hate them.
The most annoying thing for me on the Internet is webmasters who like to fill all of their pages with 'fancy' Javascript. Clocks that follow the mouse, changing the text in the status bar, 'Welcome' alerts, whats the point? Not only do they make sites inaccessible to certain people, they just clutter the thing up.
Websites that are coded badly are also annoying. A page full of PHP errors is not much use to anyone trying to browse your site. Also, doing CSS wrong or using tables for alignment often results in Google Ads being placed directly over a block of text. The ads are fine as long as they don't restrict my viewing. Sites requiring you to download ActiveX controls are also difficult to browse. You go to the page and get a security alert, you click No, and then you're stuck in an infinite loop until you download the virus and spyware they're offering you.
Viruses? Spyware!? But if those don't count then I agree with rvalkass, sites with to much javascript are annoying, SO annoying. Not only does it make browsing hard for some browsers like mozilla and people who can't view javascript. But the most worst part of it, is they think their java website is better then like everyone elses.
I hate bashers of all kind--that is, people who can't come with valid arguments to prove their point. In particular I hate ship-bashers (Yes i'm the fangirly romantic sort of person who sails fictional ships. Sue me ^^). They're worse than spammers. I hate webmasters of famous sites that use their influence to spread hatred. I hate badly written fanfiction. I hate chtspkers who post on forums and expect people to reply to their oh-so-great posts in a matter of seconds.
I don't mind spam all that much since gmail seems to filter it all out for me.
I don't go to shock or porn sites, I don't click on links in forums from people I don't trust. Like chuya, gmail has eliminated my hatered of spam since I never have to see it anymore. But I really don't have to think to hard to know what the worst thing on the internet is-
Just like in real life, it's annoying people. But the annoying people on the internet have ways of looking into your personal stuff and spreading rumors much easier. And people on boards who have to post every little 'dramatic' thing in their lives like the world would stop if we didn't know that their new dog was house trained or that their boyfriend just said something cute. Or the people who rack up 19000 posts that mostly consist of a single smilie. All that, and pages that are too wide so you have to scroll sideways.
stuff like lemonparty (i strongly recommend you dont google that) or pain4 (dont google it or go to it either). those are worse then pornography in my opinion.
I agree with the person who made this thread. It just has to be the pop-ups or huge banner adverts and the text talk which is irritating.
If I go on a website and see a whopping banner ad, my opinion on the website goes straight down, no matter whether it's someones personal website or a professional webhosting company. They're still adverts and ruin the quality of the site - that's my opinion anyway. Latest Entries

I hate the ads that follow you scrolling down and are right in the way of where you want to click. I hate adware and spyware. They just ruin everything on the PC. I think the people who make viruses should have to go to jail for ever. I mean its the same as coming into my home and smashing my computer with a hammer. Really though i hate the people who make viruses and all that stuff. And if i had dial up id kill myself haha. It would take forever to upload my file to my server. And DO NOT GO TO *person*.COM AND TUBGIRL.COM it is so gross. *person*.com is not a gay porn site its this video that repeats and its a prank and the video is two males having sex and they have loud music playing and its very "surprising" when your not expecting it. Just warning people not to go there. And tubgirl.com is not just a porn site. Its really just GROSS!!!! Do not go to those sites. They dont let me say the word (it's bleeped *person* above), but it's "omoh" backwords. You guys could send it as a prank though haha

What I don't get is how people benifit from sending a virus to your computer. I have never understood that. "Let me break the law and send a virus to this computer that deletes thier C drive" I just understand that.
Spam, pop-ups, and sites with a lots of ads. I am not thinking about small ads, i am thinking about those huge "click me", "the best" and other junk banners. Adsense is ok in that way with those little "ad boxes".
