World without mathametics how is u r feeling?
A World Without Math
Replying to PlenopticA world without math...
Imagine your life as a gooddie box and start taking out all these things
Take out all phones of any kind
Take out your camera (digital and regular film)
Take out your microwave oven and stove (you can replace them with a wood stove, if you want)
Take out your watches and clocks
Take out your video games, your DVD player (and your VCR)
Take out your music player (of any kind from turn tables to iPods)
Take out your your cable, dish, television and satellites
Take out airplanes, ships and cars and horse carrages (you can replace them with horses)
Take out your glasses and sunglasses
Take out your clothes
Take out your money
Take out any medicine you must take (even your headache medicine)
Take out your house and other buildings
Take out anything else that uses technology
When you are done, take a look inside your gooddie box. What will you have left? All you will have is the life a cave man. Basically, the mother of all inventions is math. Whether it was directly or indirectly used the person inventing knew something or had an intuition for what will work and what won't only because they understood the math behind the design.
Where will we be today without math? It is quite possible that another intelligent species would have taken over the earth.
Be smart, learn your math.
Widad.
