Blizzard Entertainment has permanently banned more than one thousand users from its massively multiplayer World of Warcraft title after an investigation into 'gold farming'.
An investigation into gold farming, which involves collecting large amounts of gold and selling it to other individuals in exchange for real world currency, has been going on for several weeks.
In a posting on the game's official forum, in-game support manager Maleki said Blizzard has 'issued permanent suspensions to over one thousand accounts that have been engaging in this practice'.
'We do not condone such actions and will take decisive action as they are against our policy and damage the game economy as a whole. We will continue researching this matter.
'If you suspect someone of taking part in said gold farming, please email the report to wowgm@blizzard.com,' he added.
Since the game launched in the US last November, Blizzard has been firm in its apparent zero tolerance policy on cheaters, suspending a large number of accounts for a variety of reasons and encouraging users to report anybody suspected of hacking or cheating the game in various ways.
Speaking last year prior to release, the game's producer Chris Sigaty said that cheaters would be identified and dealt with, but added that the developer was willing to acknowledge grey areas where quirks of the game gave out an unfair advantage and would deal with those without penalising players for discovering them."

Blizzard is pathetic.. I am glad they are hot on cheaters, but the time they have to spend to get ebay records, and track down farmers is ridiculuous when you compare it to the downtime this game has, and the serious game stopping bugs.
Blizzard has no idea how to manage what could possibly be *THE* game in MMOland.. Indstead they flounder in ineptitude, resting on the laurels of huge sales, and catering to non-us countries.
Screw blizzard, screw thier game.
they really dont know what they are doing I mean look at how many people are actually playing this game.. and all the time they are spending to ban 1000 accounts? They need to focus on their game first making it stable and reliable then they can mess around taking care of cheaters etc. got it from here

What the person who commented on fails to realize that is taking care of a big bug called player based economy when farmers come in there and sell item drops for large amounts of game money that is absurd people think this is a fair price and then follow suit therefore causing a huge influx on the games economy and causing basically a depression due to inflation. The money farmers 95% of the time are bots or scripting programs that run and cause characters to do a certain thing or kill certain mobs over and over therefore causing camping of mobs that may be needed to complete quests and what not. World of Warcraft has the least amount of downtime compared to the other "new" release MMORPG's and has the least amount of bugs. They have a few I won't deny but none that are game stopping or causing a huge depressions such as these money farmers create. I am glad they are banning the accounts they should take it one step further and ban the ip addresses via their service provider to cut down on them buying another game and creating a new account after all they are making money off this and probably able to do as such easily. There are other things they could do to correct the situation but it would take more time and a revamping of the games economy to create the fixes which would in turn create a bigger downtime for the game as whole when they can pay one person to conduct these ebay investigations and carry out the trades to catch the person red handed and then ban the account accordingly for violation of the EULA and they should also pursue them in the court system for breach of contract or Terms of service (TOS) yes it costs money to do such things but when other money farmers see these actions being taking and the judgments of fines and possible jail time for breaking a legally binding contract maybe they will stop without being forced to do so. Just my 2 copper as they say in the mmo's

The 2 core addons I use are Titan panel and Nurfed Mod. Below are the links to the official
pages. They are really nice and not that patch sensitive as many other UI addons like NP-UI or
Cosmos-UI. Though this is the mods I use and like. It is only a small peak on what I use ingame

Firstly i like WoW its a good game good graphics game play is ok. The whole idea of training in most
RPG's is joining a team for better mobs. Mening you get a higher level faster. Is this game you
basicly have to rely on quest for money and XP. Mabye a reason for this is because it only goes to
level 60? I dont know but i think it should be better leveling... Another thing i approve greatly
on is the Profesion skills. thay are cool and fun. Herblism and alchemy are my faveriot. Mining and
