Microsoft Canadian Website has released prices (accidentally). I think they are now confirmed by Microsoft because the the spread of the information from blogs to major websites. Here are the Windows Vista prices: QUOTE Windows Vista Home Basic - $199 ($99.95 to upgrade) Windows Vista Home Premium - $239 ($159 to upgrade) Windows Vista Business - $299 ($199 to upgrade) Windows Vista Ultimate - $399 ($259 to upgrade) Windows Vista No-computer - $0 ($0 to upgrade) The last one? It was just a joke! It doesn't really exist, unless Microsoft decides to make it, which would be really stupid. These prices are in US Dollars. Personally, I think Vista is too expensive to buy the Operating System. I would just buy another hard drive/computer.

Reasonable prices but damn, thats way too expensive for me. Anyway i always get any program by $5 dollars (50 pesos) here in Mexico

And do you all think that a Pentium4 3.00 Ghz, 512 RAM and a Radeon 9550 256MB would support perfectly that OS? i guess yes, but i heard somewhere that this new OS will be demanding the most of PC performance.

as all other software, i'll buy massively cheaper version, and if it is any good 'm going for the origi.. upsk.. premium software..

edit: lol, i watched those demo movies and it doesnt even go smooth in them.. i wonder how much will it take for the first patch to be updated..

Hey, I too got myself a Windows Vista No-computer - $0 ($0 to upgrade)... And it will remain that way...

I don't know why people are so obsessed with Vista, since it is a major resource hog, and requires a beast to run it... And i's not even stable yet! On the Vista presentations, it tends to lock up or restart on it's own! 1 GB RAM? For just an operating system? And what about other software? Besides, it's not even visualy apealing to me, and it's a pale copy of Tiger OS... Don't evem get me started on that TCPA thing... They want ME to pay THEM so THEY can spy on ME... Only Micro$oft can think of such a nonsense...

So, I said this, and I'll stick by it... The moment everything switches to Vista, stable or not stable, with or without service packs, I'm switching fulltime to Ubuntu, or I'm selling my computer, and buying the calculator... And I always keep my word... So, if one day I stop posting, you'll know I don't have internet access on my calculator

Oh... I forgot about pices... For my taste, too much for such a software...

we buy alllll software in iran for about 1000 or 2000 toman (about 1 and 2 $) because we have no any copyright law in our country.

Howdy,

I've checked it and you guys are right, i only have 21 days of vista left :-/ I'm gonna buy it when my trial expires.
On the tones.be you can buy an OEM version of the ultimate for 110€ so that's what i'm gonna do
I'm happy that i know taht it was just a trial periode, i know myself that i would bring my pcp to a reparation shop when the traail woulb be over becous i would think that my pc is broke, the 100€ i would spend on the reparation will be my vista

Somehow I have a feeling that your copy of Vista will stop working in April or May this year. Microsoft has previously put expiration dates on beta software, to the best of my knowledge.
