Why don't to try chatting with some people in the chat rooms maybe they use the new messenger! I mean somebody has to be able to use this software!

I just downloaded it yesterday...but its taking abit of time to get used to it , im not sure if i like it or not ..i hate the thing where u mouse over contacts and a big rectangle thing appears , and generally i think the design is abit too "CHUNKY"..but i suppose ill get used to it eventually

Tools - Options - General - Untick "Expand contacts when my mouse cursor hovers over them"

Its not bad, defently faster and no freezups (except in the last loading bit, and the privacy tab when you have almost 600 contacts like me... I hit the upper limit already. I was in shock when my contacts went from 250 to almost 500, it didnt add them because of the last limit. Enleast they told me i hit the limit of 600 this time...

The color is alot more appernt, but i stil cant get the right one... grr....
Also, only the mayjor features are implimented. Msn Plus is in development atm, I hear its released whem msn live is released. Also, that annoying extenstions blocker is now an option, thanks Microsoft for thier screw up and make it an option. I can calll anyone in the world, my friends, family, or gf for about 3c AUS a minute, as long as i get a mic. ATM though, this service is only in UK adn a few other countries, but it will be everywhere once its released.

REally though nothing much is new.. But thats expected. I hear they plan to test this version make sure its stable, etc, and then release a much more upgraded vesion. I guess thats also why you need to be invited, so that not everyone downlaods and complains its faulty.

i just installed windows live messenger about an hour ago, it crashed about 20 mins ago, thats how good it is, all it is is msn messenger with a new design and less stability.

It's alright I suppose. Still it's not as big as an improvement over the original features as I'd have liked. At least the really fat interface from the first beta release is gone

if it is anything like gmail, then you should have no problem finding invites. all i had to do to get an invite was to search google's SE. that stuff was posted all over the net. do a search for the msn invites. can't hurt. you might get lucky

    My windows media player 11 has seemed to have developed a problem. Well actulally it has always been
    doing this. I am running a P4 (2.8GHz with 512 ram, 64MB vram), and when I try to activate the
    visualization in WMP 11 all it is horribly slow and pixelized. I would guess about 5 fps Normally I
    would just accept this and keep saving for a new computer but the second that there is something
    covering even part of the visualization screen, it ups it's performance. If you put a separate
    window over the vis screen (even the slightest corner of a window) the performance up....
