Windows has been acting strangely by now, it freezes/clogs badly, I can't use Opera, MF or continue my tutorials due to this problem. It gets on my nerves as I think it was MY problem because I deleted MOST of the files in the Temp folder.
CODE
(Start>Run...>%Temp%)
That folder, most of the files were deleted by me. I consulted my friend by half-screwed MSN, he said I "effed me up the arse" by doing that.
He recommended me backing up and formatting. I never did that before so I think it will be most-likely half-impossible for me.
And as I don't have a floppy writer in my laptop, I can't write floppy disks. It is really impossible to manage to do this, I need help desesperately.
More stuff that I did:
I've ran avast! AntiVirus.
I've ran Advanced WindowsCare V2 Home.
I noticed there weren't System Restore files before to the Temp folder content deletion.
I got nervous.
Is there a possible solution? My friend told me there was a problem with my firmware and that my hardware was actually arguing to itself.
HELP.
ADMINS: Excuse me, I just noticed I posted in the Free Web Hosting SUPPORT forums, could you be so glad of moving it to the Computer Section maybe? Thanks by now, Zero.
My advice is 100% guaranteed to solve your problem, and this is no advertising for another forum. Go here: www.processlibrary.com then go to their forums, sign up as a member, under HJT logs post a new topic describing precisely your problem, they should tell you how to fix it. These guys are more than pros in computers. I tried them more than once in resolving issues like you have, and they appeared to be the right guys for this job. And the best of all, it is all free, you pay nothing. I couldn't beleive my eyes when I was cured from an adware that attacked my computer. If you want to solve your problem, and to solve it quickly and in a right way, then I suggest you go to this forum as soon as you read those ligns. Let me know how everything goes, Regards.
I think by deleting the content of Temp's folder is not effect your operating system. Because the function of temp (like it's name temporer) is only store the temporer data. If you run Disk clean up, all the content of this folder will be deleted to by Windows.
I think, there is another problem!. May be your computer is infected by Virus or some malicious program. Update your antivirus definition file to make sure. Or you're not deleted the content of Temp folder, but Another like Application Data or Local Settings. That's two folder are very important since they kept the information setting about the software.
If there is no viruses found, just try to reinstalling the Windows and the Software that can't run.
Or you can recover the files that have been deleted by using special software like Norton UnErase Wizard or Undelete Professional. But the successfull of this methode depend on "how often do you boot your Windows since you delete the file?". If you often, probably the deleted files has been overwriten!. But try it first may be your files still recovered!.
We need the system specs of your computer to figure out your problem properly.
Masterio is correct deleting the files in temp folders is pointless.
I suggest getting the following programs Ram DEF (free), this program is used to clean up your computer's ram and be able to get more out of it without slowing your computer down.
Next get a Advance system optimizer or something simlar to that effect with this you can optimize your computer system to run a bit smoother as well.
Also Defrag your drive every couple of weeks to sort out the files that are mixed around your computer system. This usually helps speed up the computer. Then run the system disk clean.
Next step would be to start deleting programs you never use anymore. Next go though your hard drive and look for non system empty folders and delete those as well.
Then of course check for spyware, adware and all that other stuff. Also sometimes you need to defrag your computer registry as well because sometimes it contributes to a slow computer. Lucky for you Advance System Optimizer has all those programs you need to clean your computer minus hte spyware and adware. catch is that it's not free.
their is no order to do this but it's the best solution to the point that you have to ask a computer tech to look at your computer and figure out what is wrong with it.
In an internal memo Microsoft detailed how it plans to tie Win7 and Windows Live. It seems these
guys never learn. They don't don't get tired of monopolizing everything. I just pray the

memo titled " Microsoft internal memo details Windows 7-Windows Live ties ": " In

QUOTE Many people are switching from Internet Explorer to alternative browsers such as Firefox
and Safari. Though that might make them feel more secure, the shift has also opened new doors for
bad guys. Case in point: We have no IE bugs to report this month, but both Firefox and Safari have
been hit hard. So forget the idea that just because you've switched to a new browser,
you're magically safer. You may be for a time, but to stay safe with any software, you need to
keep current with fixes. Firefox Holes In a somewhat dubious recognition of Firefox's....
Hi Guys, I've had a problem with my computer. I thought it restarted only when using the
internet but I was wrong. I found out that isn't the denominator. I tried disabling the internet
to run a virus scan and the scan can't complete as the computer restarts too often. I followed
the following instructions to read the dmp file the restart error generates. 1) Download and
install the http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/deb...installx86.mspx Debugging Tools from
Microsoft 2) Locate your latest memory.dmp file- C:\WINDOWS\ Minidump\Mini0....
Well it seems this is the first major problem for Vista SP 1 in the sense for those who have the
following Secuirty Suites installed on your ocmputer that is running Vista. They block the
following programs; Zone Alarm Security Suite 7.1, Trend Micro Internet Security 2008, BitDefender
10, and the 2008 version of the Jiangmin antivirus. As for the reason why these programs don't
work, Microsoft says "they are incompatible and so they must be block". Well not exactly like that
but you get the point they also mention that other small programs might now work either b....
OH NO!!! (sarcasm there) QUOTE A flaw in the way the Firefox and Opera browsers
handle an image file could allow an attacker to see what Web sites a person has visited. The
problem concerns how the two browsers handle a ".BMP," or bitmap, image file, according to an
advisory written by Gynvael Coldwind of Vexillium.org, who posted a video illustrating the problem.
A malicious bitmap file can be created that pulls other information from the browsers' memory.
Some of the information that can be captured is random, but at other times could be valuable....
I just got a new laptop, and of course it's loaded with vista. Everything works awesomly!
(my last PC was from 2001, BIG DIFF.) But the damned thing compulsivly and automatically sets
Internet Explorer to my default browser and won't let me change certain things which browsers
will typically handle. 've manually changed it so Firefox handles all the stuff except HTTPS

Well it seems firefox flaws are becoming a popular now, the two flaws that have been reported all
follow the same protocol that had posted about before; QUOTE The flaw lies in Firefox's URL
handler component.. Like the first flaw, this one could be exploited by attackers to launch
programs on the victim's PC without authorization, said Tyler Reguly, a security research
engineer at nCircle Network Security Inc. "They're both related to the URL handling process," he
said "It's just different errors within that handling process." So far it would se....
Well it has finally happen and strangely enough I didn't really think about it until now, but it
seems a security team found a very high level bug that requires both Internet Explorer 7 and
Modzilla Fire Fox. This is the jist of the bug; QUOTE The root of the matter is a Firefox
uniform resource identifier (URI) that allows Web sites to force Firefox to launch with the
"firefoxurl://" URI, Secunia reported. The way in which the URI handler is registered by Firefox
causes any parameter to be passed from IE (or another application) to Firefox when the "firefoxurl....
I was able to browse around this and found it interesting since this vunerability is found in 4

this flaw it always hackers to break into someone computer and do their thing. But in another

We all know the difference between a limited user and an administrator user under Win2k/XP - you
can't/can install major software, perform system maintainence, and other stuff. But using a
limited user on a day-to-day basis also provides you with decent protection from a bunch of threats:
if the malware is running under your limited-rights user, it can only do as much as you can. For
instance, a limited rights user can't edit the HKLM hive of the Registry, so any malware running
under the same user won't be able to touch that area. It's extremely simple t....

A friend of mine was temporarily banned from the computers at my school a while ago after he
accidentially found a way into Task Manager, which is disabled on our network. He has had his
permissions restored now, but has no idea why he got banned in the first place. However, recently he
explained what he did to me, and I tested it. I soon found out that, by accident, we had both
discovered that there is a Security Exploit in networking Windows XP Professional. The exploit is
to do with network permissions. Windows XP recieves the permission data from the network as soon....
