I read only up to maybe six - nine books each year. I'm not much of a reader but when I do its usually a fantasy book or adventure. My favorite book would probaly have to be Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, yeah I'm a Potter fan. I liked that book because it was outside more and not as dark and gloomy as the rest of the books are out of Harry Potter.
I read way more than twelve books a year. At the very least, 109 books a year ( I counted from last year). I love to read so I read so many books. I finish some in one day when they're 400 pages long. Thats how much I love to read. My favorite book would be Cirque Du Freak (I made a topic on it, check it out, please) because of all the action pacted adventure that leaves readers hungry for more. I reccomend it to anyone because it rocks!!!
Alright, I am a huge book worm, I to read and I probably always will. Well has anyone ever started reading the demonata series (where I got my name)?? It's a really good series and its written by the same author as Cirque Du Freak. Its really, really good. it's a mix of horror, action, and awsomeness. Its mainly about a bot named Grubbs (Grubitsch, but he prefers Grubbs, I know, wierd) whos life gets turned upside down by demons because they killed his parents and now he experiences them a lot more than any teenager should. But he learns how to use magic and he fends them off using his really cool power. It gets really interesting. I reccomend it to anyone who is thirteen and above.
For me, my all-time fav series has to be the World of Time series by Robert Jordan. It's composed of tweleve tomes, each equivalent to my all-in-one LotR edition. And very, very well written. Can't express how much I love these books.
Other than that, I also love the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey, though they vary in "greatness".
Then there's the Crystal Cave, etc. by Mary Stewart Several by Rosemary Sutcliff, including "Knight's Fee" and "The Eagle of the Ninth"
I loved Catcher in the Rye, which has been mentioned earlier in the post, and it was only a little while after I read it in 9th grade that I really came to appreciate all it means, and the truth in what Salinger writes. Very deep
I'll give most fantasy a try, so long as it doesn't sound too retarded. I also hate things that try to put fantasy in a modern setting (Kingdom of the Golden Gragon, Artemis Fowl) as well as those that mix time period (eg the Wintermark b$). Has to be pure epic
I read around a dozen a year (not counting ones I read for school). My favorites would probably be the Dark Tower series or Ender's Game, but I've started reading the Dune books and they definitely might become my favorites. There's also some book in the back of my mind right now that I can't think of, if I remember it I'll edit the post I guess.
My favorite genre is fantasy and my favorite book is Twilight. Although, I like the rest of the books that sequel it. I love the story plot because of the vampire twist. I'm not really sure why but I'm interested in the whole 'forbbiden love' thing even if the relationship seems a little off. My friend introduced me to it and I'm glad for it. I reread the book a lot and can basically recall all or at least most of what every little thing happens in it.
I like "Next" by Michael Chrichton. It is a 500 page book but i probably finished in less than two days. And this coming from someone who isnt that avid of a reader. That's how good it is. It takes place in the very near future and it talks about the implications of our actions and our technology. It focuses mostly on genetics and cloning and how this can become detrimental to a society. It is a very good book and i recomend it to anyone who enjoys science.
My wife loves children's books. We have hundreds of books in our apartment. She likes
goosebumps, her favorite author is Ann M Martin. Books that pertain to school girls. She is even
writing a few books herself. My wife is very talented. I am looking to the day so I can start
reading my daughter some books. My favorite books are Star Trek books. I am a big Science Fiction
fan.....

I think I've found my new favourite author! Joe Meno's new book, the Boy Detective
Fails, was recommended on Jackson Publick's blog because it contains similar themes of failure
to the Venture Bros. I've not read a good book for a while so I thought what the hell and
ordered it on Amazon. While i was there i got a couple of others as well, notably Chris
Nieratko's Skinema (which i'm looking forward to cracking open) as well as Hairstyles of the
Damned also by Meno. It had amazing reviews so i clicked "add to basket" because i'm a shopahol....
Well, I saw this book a couple days ago in the book store for 16.95$. Considering I thought
that was expensive, I bought it off amazon for 8.53$. Waiting for it to come. In the meantime,
I wanted to get some opinions on this book and the other two. I, for one, thought they were really
well written and sometimes really funny /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D"

Philip Pullman - His Dark Materials is a story of three books which follows the 11-year-old Lyra
Belacqua through a terrifying, facinating, beautiful & sometimes funny adventure. The trilogy
contain three books: The Golden Compass QUOTE In The Golden Compass, readers meet for the
first time 11-year-old Lyra Belacqua, a precocious orphan growing up within the precincts of Jordan
College in Oxford, England. It quickly becomes clear that Lyra's Oxford is not precisely like
our own - nor is her world. In Lyra's world, everyone has a personal dæmon, a lifelon....

I myself just started reading the book "American Psycho" by Bret Easton Ellis. It's seriously
the most effed up book I have ever read. I was reading during "DEAR" at my school today ("Drop
everything and read".... hella retarded name) and my mouth gaped open in awe at what I was reading.
I was like oh em gee, dudes!! This stuff is messed up. This guy, the "protagonist" (Though
the reader kind of hates him too), is a psychotic. He is very homophobic and hateful towards almost
everyone . He rapes his girlfriend. He went up to this bum and started offeri....
Hello! I hated Harry Potter. It was good at the first few movies, but it just got worse. I have
lost interest. Unforunate Events was good, I liked it. It was funny, but in the movie the wedding
play was supposed to be before they moved into Monty's house. Otherwise, it would have been
better. If you would like to say which book should be a movie, say it here or share your comments of
the movies that are already out. I like books converted into movies, but the novels thay come out
with for the movies are weird. Most have 8 SCREENSHOTS FROM THE MOTION PICTURE! ....
I don't know if many people read his books, maybe some have read American Psycho but aren't
really into the author. I happen to be a very big fan of him, it all started when i read The Rules
of attraction. Its about 3 people (Sean, Lauren, and Paul) Sean happens to really like Lauren, and
Lauren kind of likes Sean, but at the same time Lauren is still in love with victor. Meanwhile, Paul
(lauren's ex) has a crush on Sean. Another character happens to have a crush on sean...but its
not so promising, and she is probably my favorite character in the whole book....
Alrighty. This is kinda weird for me to post this because I really don't read that much but
there are a few that I truly love! First of all, I really like "The Davinci Code" and "Angels
and Demon's" Both outstanding books! Great plot! Unexpected endings! Kept moving to
keep me interested! Very good! If you havent read either of them for any reason, religious
or not, I would suggest reading them! They are great. Now my truly favorite trilogy... or at
least soon to be trilogy, is the "Domain" trilogy by Steve Alten. Basically, its this....

I also really like Anne Rice's books. I love her dark alternate universe where she writes as if
homosexuality were normal and stuff. Sometimes she'll have her characters actually take credit
