| | If there's no internet, my lifestyle would have definitely be very different. First of all I won't spend much time on computer (who wants to use computer without internet except for games - which is kid's stuffs? ). secondly, I won't bother what is php, asp, isp, forum, email, chat, etc.
I'd be doing the same thing I've been doing but much more time I would have devoted to those, not sitting in front of the computer and looks very busy all the time.. lol |

While other people go out and waste themeselves getting drunk and stuff, i like to sit inside, television and eat. No internet would mean no smallville and would mean a lot of my life would be gone (i loive smallville). If i had no internet, homework would go slower, but i would also have more free time, when my pc broke until i got a temp backup one, for 3 days at around 20:30 i sat staring into space and thinking; i should go to bed...so i got friendly with my buddy Philips-Television, i got to know more cartoons and shows and learnt to like them. Internet fills my day but when you take it away it takes a while adjusting too, some may find this sad but im not into going out and getting wasted.

Hmm, seems like a pretty good question. My dad's been in computers longer than my 23 years, so I grew up surrounded by computers and learning early how to get around on the computer, and, subsequently, the internet. I would have to say that I would probably, as some have already said, have better social skills since i would, by necessity, have to get out and socialize more. I would also probably not really have gone the web design route, but might have followed my father onto the programming field. I don't know, but what I do know is that I would miss the online communities that I am a part of, including, but not limited to: stripperweb, thefanlistings.org and the tfl.org boards, codegrrl forums, trap17, and especially all my friends on yahoo and livejournal. There are some positive aspects to a world without the internet, but it also leaves a lot of people in this day an age disconnected from people they could otherwise have great friendships with over long distances.

Exactly you wouldnt even know of any internet of any kind yet. Just like today we dont know if something is going to come out from technology that makes computers have no meaning anymore. I would just start playing video games to make up for all the internet time i would lose. Plus there is also t.v and you can never go wrong with watching some t.v to pass the time. And of course you wouldnt have alot of the other technolgy that we have that relies on the internet in order to function properly.

Qoodaa Mnp2p Creates A New Epoch Of Internet Transfer
(0) Qoodaa Communications , which has been devoted to developing internet transfers services, innovates
and develops a new P2P technology, called MNP2P for short. It creates a new epoch of internet
transfers acceleration for large files. It is well known that the main downloading accelerative ways
are P2P and CDN. However, the traditional P2P needs multi-users download at the same time to
guarantee its downloading speed. BT is the most classic example of P2P. But CDN can ensure
downloading quality under the circumstance that there are a few downloading users and there is e....
Rich Internet Application - Who Is Going To Win The Race?
(7) Last couple of months we can see the competition between 3 major Companies Adobe, Sun and Microsoft.
Everyone wants to win the race. They introduced 3 products to develop RIA (Rich Internet
Application). Flex - Adobe. Silverlight - Microsoft JavaFX - Sun Flex is already in Production,
they have released Flex 3.0 beta. Flex SDK is open source and Blaze Data Services (part of Flex
needed for Server side Programming) is open source. but Flex IDE and LifeCycle (Super Set of
BlazeDS) is not free. Silverlight and JavaFX is still under alpha release. I believe these three te....
Is It Possible To Destroy The Internet?
(99) I have always wondered if it is impossible to destroy the internet all together... is this even
possible? If it is possible to destroy the internet what would you have to do? Would you have to
destroy all the Internet companys like comcast and aol? Or would that not even take care of it?
Just think, if someone took down the entire internet not only would our lives be boring but it would
basically destroy the U.S. & other big countries all at once.....

Skype Rule
Talk for free on the internet (7) This has been available for a while, but I only recently. This is a Voice over IP program that
allows you to talk to anyone on the internet anywhere provided they have the same program. The
software is free. The real amazing thing is the new feature you can now have real phone number. That
means someone can call you from a normal landline and you can call other landline numbers. They have
also just added the live video software also for free, so if you have a web cam you can see the
other person. I know, I know it is not all that new, but this is the first software that ....

Broadband In Gas
Carrying internet over gas pipelines (5) I recently read about a company called Nethercomm that is promoting a broadband in gas technology.
Apparently, this company has some patents pending on devices that can be installed in gas pipelines
that go to commercial and residential buildings to provide the "last mile" connection for broadband.
It appears the technology is based on radio frequencies propogated down the gas pipe as a wave
guide. Nethercomm boasts data rates up to 40 Mbps are possible to the home. Anyone know of any
actual implementation/trials of this technology going on presently?....
Internet Telephony - Any Experiences?
(10) I was wondering if anybody had any experience with internet telephony or voIP. I've tried Skype
with mixed results, and recently read an article about a number of fairly large companies who have
adopted it as a money saving venture. In the UK BT announced yesterday a new phone service whereby
when you take your phone outside your home it uses the Vodafone network, and when you use it at home
it automatically uses voIP over bradband. Sounds interesting.......

Internet Explorer.... With Tabs!
(22) Yes, it’s finally true. Stuck on like a big band aid, courtesy of MSN Toolbar 1.2, we have IE with
tabs. Well ahead of the release of Internet Explorer 7, Microsoft has done what they just absolutely
needed to do, and have provided tabbed browsing for Internet Explorer. Things are fairly undeveloped
at this stage, but reports talk about it running fast and supporting most features you'd want.
"It's a more powerful functionality in a pretty robust tool offering, which already has a
number of differentiators with form fill and the access to MSN services in the t....

erase ALL records of internet files (6) You might consider Webroot's Window Washer. It works with IE and AOL. Once you get off the net
it clears out all your internet activity, e.g. sites visited, temporary files, etc... then when it
completes it's 'wash' you just click to 'minimize' it so that it remains as an
active program. This will prevent someone else using your computer to find out what site's you
visited.. You may want to visit; www.webroot.com they have an array of products, and like anything
else everyone has their own opinion as to what works for them. I have Windows W....
Microsoft Confirmed IE7 Compatible with XP and newer
Internet Explorer 7 only for XP (26) Micrsoft confirmed what we've already expected. The new-coming explorer IE 7 will only be
compatible with windows XP and newer. The two reasons why old dinosaurs that still use Windows 2000
and lower won't be able to use the new IE are: 1. state in which is the extended support of
Windows 2000 and 2. mostly of technical nature (IE 7 is goin to have a few security updates and
imporvements, which bases on the functionality of the new XP SP2 and this is the reason for its
incompatibility with other versions of Windows) Source: Slashdot ....
Voip(voice Over Internet Protocol)
real money saver (16) VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is the communication technology of the future for sure. Legacy
technology carries voice signals over analog circuits and lines. Voice over IP converts the analog
signal to digital and transports the signal to the receiver where it is converted back from digital
to analog and the receiver hears the sender's voice. This provides a more efficient and
economical means of communication. I have know VOIP for quite a some time since i started online.
Most of the time i use msn messeger or yahoo messeger to chat with my friends. Recently,....

satellites connections (phones) had a large delay due to the range of transmission. Would anyone
