I really like Dreamweaver, it's easy to use. Although I've only ever used it once to be honest. I used it in Web Design classes at school. Didn't like it at first, but I grew to like it. Even though I'm gradually getting the hang of FrontPage, I prefer Dreamweaver, I've seen some pretty impressive webpages and whole sites that have been made on Dreamweaver. They're basically; Awesome.

to be honest i'm a bit funny with using software i have used many kinds and still using all kind of combination of them, but normally i have ot have these Photoshop Dreamweaver (for design and coding as well CSS PHP ..) Flash sometimes i even go with FrontPage in the same time as Dreamweaver (because they offer different options in different situations) FireWorks Coreldraw (i like its vector tools) if i need 3d flash i go for swift 3D and also Swish as well and if i have the opportunity to access others i would try them as well  total mess never try to be like this (evaluation mode)

Coda 1.1 Anyone here ever use it or still use it? I've been using this for a few weeks now and didn't discover the Clips and remote connectivity feature till just now. Its pretty good I can edit my files on the trap17 server just as if its locally on my laptop. Oh the clips is just awesome, I do a lot of echoing and typing that out is a pain. Now I just drag what ever clip of code I need off the list its so much faster I'm kicking myself for not finding out about coda before. Anyway I'm hoping other mac users give it a try over dreamweaver or others. Its the best for web page coding IMO on a mac.

I'm a newbie, and know a bit about HTML code, and I find NVU (which is basically Kompozer) is great. But i found another one which lets you edit the bare code and then preview... It's called smultron, and i think is mac only. I love it. its perfect for what i know. Image editing i use Acorn, a shareware baby which is awesome. its between MS paint and Gimp. Basic but not too much so. I like it an i think its also mac only.

I may be different than most of you. I can't really afford any program so I went with the free version of Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2005. It has a great editor just like dreamweaver and the newer 2008 version allows you to use a wysiwyg editor as well. In fact I built all of my websites using it. I have never built a website with a program that I have paid for.

I use dashcode for mac, it comes with the developer tools. It's not particuarly advanced and it doesn't have as many features as dreamweaver but now that i'm using databases and php, i don't really use dreamweaver as much. I've actually been wondering if you can load an entire database and bunch of files into dreamweaver and edit it visually as you can with html, but it seems unlikely to be honest. I used to use dreamweaver and I still use it at school sometimes but have found myself using it less and less as i dont really need it as much with what i've been doing.

What Is The Best Free Html Editor?

platfor, go ahead and add it for reference for other users. If you have one for normal text editor

Has Anybody Tried Ms Expression Web Html Editor
It's much better than Frontpage (3) I was desperate to finish a site I was designing after I lost my hard drive and my software. I
downloaded Expression Web from the Microsoft site for a 3 month free trial, and guess what? It's
surprisingly good! Nothing like that crappy frontpage, it's standards compliant and very
good for writing CSS. Haven't heard anybody mention the program and wondering if anybody else
has tried it out. It's free to try from the MS site.....

It is NOT like frontpage!!! (4) Many folks asking about best html editor available, and I notice nobody seems to know about MS
Expression Web. It's very cool at designing standards compliant pages, CSS just drag and drop ,
it validates and highlights your errors in code view, etc. It's available as a free 3 month
trial for download on Microsoft's website. Yes, I hate frontpage as much as anyone, but I lost
my hardrive a few months ago in the middle of designing a site and lost my software, so NVU and
Kompozer both act like frontpage putting garbage in your code and I stumbled across this....

Need Help Designing Website For Online Novels
Making lots of text comfortable to read (3) I want to start getting my website hammered out, and I realize that I'm not exactly sure how to
balance an attractive design with basic readability. I generally don't like templates and
programs, preferring to work things out from the bottom up as much as possible. I've got some

Dreamweaver's a good Webdesigning Studio (22) I recently downloaded Macromedia's Dreamweaver 8, and I can say that it is the greatest
webdesigner that the world has ever seen! The only problem is that it costs too much money in my
tastes, but otherwise it is perfect! Does anyone know of a webdesigning studio that does not
cost any money and that can be downloaded off the internet? I tried using Notepad++ (search Google,
I cannot recall the site) and it is a coder, but not a webdesign. It doesn't actually show you
what the site will end up looking like, but it shows you colour-coded codes for your sit....

Dreamweaver Permissions Issue
Access denied when trying to FTP (5) Okay, so I was trying to FTP these files over dreamweaver today... and it seemed to be working fine.
But then, certain files won't let me transfer from my hard drive to the internet, or the other
