I use a perticular linux distro called slackware. I would trongly recommend it to anyone. For those who want to deploy servers I could suggest OpenBSD.

I'm not a Slackware fan. But that's just my opinion.

Linux isn't suitable for the average home computer user, anyway. For one, most of todays leading software and games are created for Windows; and many personal computers are used solely for gaming.

And for two, it comes with features that most people have no use for. If you are a 'power-user' and enjoy having control over your operating system, and are willing to put the hours in, then Linux is probobly for you. But for those that just like to sit down and play a game from time to time or do office-type work, Windows is probobly the better option.

I hate anything older than OS X 10. The only OS from Apple I like is Mac OS X 10 or higher. Mac OS X 10 is when they started to use all those nice effects and icons.

Now I have onlu Slackware, but I still like Mandrak the most

Three computers: old desktop (not used anymore): Windows '95
New desktop: Windows '98
Laptop: Win2k

But if I get my way, I'll have Linux installed on at least one of those computers as well.

I personally have an original style eMac, but have upgraded the OS (10.2) to MacOSX 10.3 (Panther). I am awaiting Tiger (10.4) though, which should have a lot more features.

i use win xp sp2 and win server 2003 and suse 9.1
all three are good the best one is win server 2003 it is incredibly fast and stable
