The best.... I think that the best os in fact of ease of use (and hardware compatibility  ) is Windows, but... the one that works better is clearly Linux. but, since I'm too lazy to learn how to run a program by typing "program -ow -x 300 -a 'zxcv -tghj -p9'" I use windows

With GUI's such as Gnome and KDE being implemented, you don't have to type 'program -ow -x 300 -a 'zxcv -tghj -p9' to start anything, you just need to click on it as you would with Windows. Many of the Linux flavors are becoming more like Windows in the way that the user interacts with them, and are becoming much easier to use.

I think Windows is the most user friendly. I don't have to spend much time figure out how to get the work done on Windows. Also, the knowledge base is intensive that I can troubleshoot from the info it offers. But Windows needs reboot more often.

Hah, you all dare to think windows is the best, how many people try somethin elese??? Windows is the best for losers that onlu think about games, but when you go on internet you *BLEEP* all of the viruses on stupid Misro$heet Windblows eXPensive!!! What..s wrong with windows, you can play 60% of game, wach dvx, dvd, listen music, go safety to net ETC. You should rely put slackvare in the list, I vote for mandrake, but...

ywlke, Linux contains 0% of UNIX code. It's only POSIX complaint (plus, it acts like UNIX). FreeBSD, in the other hand has UNIX coding into it. xboxrulz

well i've never had the chance to use any of the other OSes. only ones i've ever used are DOS and windows. i would be happy to try out Linux in some form or other sooner or later, but as it has a steeper learning curve i guess i'll have to wait for a little till i'm able to learn something more about it. i really have no time for that right now. in the meantime, i'm happy enuf using windows XP Pro and hacking away at it. i do have to say that so far it's only given me the BSOD once. when i was installing an updated version of PGP over an older one. other than that, no problems. And even if there is WINE x Linux, i've heard it's still kind of buggy and doesn't work across the board.

By the way, for all you Mac OS X lovers, there is something you need to know. It is UNIX based. For all you novices out there, Linux is basically descended from UNIX.

tallk about your favorite band (16) Well my favorite band of all time would have to be "Metallica". They are my favorite band because
there music is incredible. I only like old metallica though. From the album; "Kill Em All" to "Black

What is your favorite BT client? (90) I use BitTornado because it's very reliable for me, although at times, the GUI seems to freeze,
and I get very mad when that happens because I leave the computer on for a long time, so when I get
back, I expect a finished download. I've also tried BitComet. I don't know if this is me,
but the torrent seems to take SO much longer to finish downloading than it does on BitTornado. If
you've experienced this, post below. Shareaza is another client that I've tried, but it
doesn't seem to handel torrents very well.....
