Haha I use a mix from CSB as WYSIWYG and Crimson Editor to edit and write html, php and tpl texts

It is really a popular editor with millions of users.

i am absolutley useless at the actual html code, so dreamweaver for me. its the BEST wysiwyg editor out there. at first i was impress by fp at school, but then i saw dream weaver [insert stare of wantingness here]...

I think that the best way to start lerning about web design is to learn HTML code first. What I mean is to learn to make page in notepad, and than start using WYSIWYGs. WYSIWYGs can save you a lot of time, but you need to know HTML language in order to optimize you page. WYSIWYGs can add a lot of unuseful lines of code.

I've only used notepad, sometimes I edit online with the built-in text editor one the file manager of Cpanel. I've tried FrontPage, but I don't like the interface, and I got a few errors. Can anyone suggest something that I mat try perhaps?

I use notepad when I'm not on my own computer. When I'm on mine I have jedit installed and I use it for XHTML, PHP, and CSS. It's a plain text editor too. http://jedit.org <-- not sure that's the right site >_> And how can some people use Word o_O oh.... it is a webpage editor sort of XD.

At first I have started to make my webpages with Dreamweaver but when I have learn html I have started to use HTML-KIT ( www.chami.com/htm-kit), I don't think there can be better plain text editor than this. It's built in FTP uploader saves a lot of time. There are a number of plugins which are very powerful. And above all it is FREE.

I use MSFrontpage and Dreamweaver. I just find it easier to handle tables using MSFrontpage and i use a lot of behaviors so I have to use Dreamweaver. Next time I'll try to do a complete page using notepad but for now its WYSIWYG!

I fell stupid using notepad, why do something on your own when you have software for it. It's like writing machine code insted of using compilers. Frontpage is the best. I like using it because it does all the work for you. When I have to do hand coding I just change the view to HTML and then back to normal. It has CSS and stuff. I don't know it so it is better for me. I am not very good at HTML either. I want to start using Dreamweaver. That's the best. I'll be starting soon.

I checked Dreamweaver in the poll. But it really depends on what site I am working on I have used or use the following programs: - Dreamweaver
This is my favourite program for the bigger projects, I don't know why though. I guess that it's because I know it pretty well. I started using Dreamweaver MX ages 3 yrs ago. And I still do. Of course for one page, I won't bother opening it. Since it's pretty heavy and I am on an older pc. - Adobe GoLive TryOut
It was recommended to me by a friend. However, I found the lay-out and GUI not so nice. But then again, I was a huge fan of Dreamweaver already. I have to admit, GoLive is good for tables - HTML-Kit
really useful for semi-projects Also the preview is excellent. I have encountered a few problems with the preview though, but that's sorted - NotePad ++ which is nothing more than notepad with syntax highlighting for several languages. This is open on my puter all the time, it fully replaces the "regular" notepad on my machine

I got this on Nils' advice. So I am giving that a try as well. However I haven't had the change to look around in it.
In the past I have ONCE tried Frontpage, and after testing the page, which was slower than a snail, and staring at the code... I decided to never touch Frontpage again.

I'll be starting soon. smile.gif way to go! i all-out recommend Dreamweaver, especially the MX version. take your pick of code or graphic, or both. fixes mistakes, robust, easy to work with that & other macromedia appz, flash, fireworks, etc. I use it generally at 50-50 as i like to see the code, but i'm not yet capable of working strictly in code. i do better with a bit of visual.

typically i script in php, but for both of them i use dreamweaver. the entire macromedia suite kicks butt. you can do way more then with frontpage!

Word gives you the option to save as HTML and it just inserts tags for you, but it's not that good and you can't do much besides bold/italic/underline/alignment.

Accidently Deleted Template.html
please somebody provide the original one (3) I recently signed for qupis account. When I uploaded all my files the site was not showing and was
still rediecting to template.html and so I deleted it. But now I can't access my website as it
is not considering other files like index.html, index.php for showing as default page. I now
understood unlike trap17, qupis displays ads and template.html is essential and should be used for
default page. NOW SOMEBODY PLEASE SEND ME ORIGINAL TEMPLATE.HTML. And then how to actually get my

Making A Picture Viewer Website
Html programming or javascript (3) this is one thing i've struggled with for ages. I want a webpage where there are little

Has Anybody Tried Ms Expression Web Html Editor
It's much better than Frontpage (3) I was desperate to finish a site I was designing after I lost my hard drive and my software. I
downloaded Expression Web from the Microsoft site for a 3 month free trial, and guess what? It's
