Ok. so i had the internet explorer exploit thing that would give me like twenty pop ups when i used IE. So i tried to get rid of it. Theres like twenty things that nortons cant erase. Adaware helps and i had spybot but its f'd up now, And i have the demo of zone alarm. well the symantec (nortons) site would tell you how to go into the registry to erease certain keys and stuff associated with the spy stuff, but i didnt see the keys for the first few i tried so gave up thinking that maybe they were already deleted or something. i dont know exactly when it started but recently afterwards, now when i go to a site through aol...i guess it automatically uses IE, right, but it will take forever to load a page if it ever loads. So i got netscape which works well...but now after i logoff of aol(my only isp), when i go to log on later, its like i cant browse in netscape. it can never find any pages or links, like aol is not even connected, though it is. The thing is that i have to restart the comp, and once i do this it always works fine afterwards but only for one log on. once i log off and come back it never works until i restart. Whats going on? I'm on the verge of erasing and rebooting my whole comp because its really getting on my nerves. fifty percent or more of my reasons for getting a comp are internet related. I also downloaded the latest service pack i guess for windows xp. Anyone have any ideas or help? I think there should be serious legislature for this ad and spy ware shlt.

I would say that if you got some spyware stuff stolen from you, that if you have AOl to use the spyware software. If you don't then just dl some from download.com. As far as anti-virus though, I'd say use AVG.

QUOTE(spawn_syxx9 @ Nov 10 2004, 07:49 AM) I would say that if you got some spyware stuff stolen from you, that if you have AOl to use the spyware software. If you don't then just dl some from download.com. As far as anti-virus though, I'd say use AVG. Adaware and SpyBot Search and Destroy usually compliment each other if run one after the other. Make sure that IE is closed when you do it. If you already have both, also be sure you've manually updated the definitions. Adaware doesn't go to its server automatically in the 'home' edition. If you're using XP, Windows 98 or Windows ME, use MSConfig to kill everything in your start menu. A lot of times spyware will come back if you've missed an executable somewhere. If you're using 2000, go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Run and kill anything in there. Be sure to delete everything in your IE plugins folder as well. You might also kill Flash or other useful plug ins but those are easily reinstalled.

Problems with running HTML editors. (2) It looks like my PC has something against HTML editors. I use Coffeecup HTML Editor 2007 and I also

F-secure Internet Security 2008
My review (0) F-Secure Internet Security 2008 suite has all the necessary tools to help users defend themselves
from unsavoury elements while surfing the Net. The program comes with various tools such as virus

A pleasant surprise was the option to scan the computer without installing the software: the option
quickly presented itself when I inserted the installation disk into the PC. The program also gets
itself up and running without much trouble, and scans and quarantines viruses ....

may not always be the OS's fault. The bigest problem with vista is the ram and proccesor usage.

Internet Connection Sharing (ics)
