Web Services With Php - Need to implement Web Services with PHP

Hi,
A client want that i implement some Web Services that interact with a MySQL database that they have. But i have never implemented Web Services. I followed a lecture where the implementation of Web Services with the AXIS Framework was explained. But with PHP i do not have any idea. Does anyone Know how does this work? Can anyone point me to a good tutorial?

what do you want? Please explain specifically because I don't quite understand your needs.
Do you need a php script to connect to the MySQL database or what?
