| | I have read up on many sites, but I am unable to confirm its actual purpose. Is it a new standard, something which we can follow like xhtml? Or is this a list of functionalities to bring websites into the new age making use of stuff like RSS, Ajax, Socialisation (Del.icio.us) ... etc? What is actually Web 2.0? |

Web 2.0 is not a set of standards or anything official. It was a theory put forward by the O'Reilly books a few years ago referring to social networking, collaboration and sharing among the Internet - using things like wikis and MySpace. People now have added all sorts of things to the definition - like Ajax, RSS, podcasts and vodcasts etc. Wikipedia has a very interesting mindmap that explains what is currently meant by Web 2.0 and gives a few example websites.

I just read wikipedia. So in short, Web 2.0 is not anything definitive in the web. It is just a term used for the new age of websites, a theory if you will. It is just a way to enhance the experience of a visitor to a site, using things like podcast, rss ... etc

I Have Never Been In A Relationship

The General Ignorance Of People

Joomla Questions, Phpbb Questions
and some general questions (2) I got Joomla installed and running in the root, but I don't have it installed in a folder called
joomla, all the individual folders in the root. I was doing some digging trying to find answers when
I came accrossed a post in one of the sister sites. It said to install joomla like so
/public_html/joomla, then use a redirect on the page, since i didn't put joomla inside a folder
and use a redirect, will I have problems in the future with the install, or should I start over?
has anybody ever tried to bridge phpbb to joomla? I found a bridge, but its for a plain ins....

Mysql 4.0 - Select Max While Joining
Some general info i wanted to know (0) I got a solution using CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE to select MAX things out of a table in reference to a
Category. Now i want to know that is this CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE available after MySQL 3.23 Server
intensive. I checked it out on the MySQL Administrator software that monitors your MySQL Software

Women...in General
(18) I wouldn't say im sexist towards woman, i dont go around hurting them or anything, and its not
as if i think they shouldnt have the rights of men, but what is their problem?? First off, Im gay

General Ultima Online discussion (5) Even though the game is quite dilapidated, I can never seem to tear free from it's hold.
I've been playing Ultima Online for about 7 years now and it never gets tiring. Sure, certain
aspects of it get old (like the people who do nothing but trash-talk about peoples' PVP skills),
but I don't think I will ever get tired of the game. I played on OSI paid-servers for about a
year and a half. Then I found the wonder of free shards. All the fun, and more, of a paid OSI

Questions in general (29) While looking for help on the 2003 edition, I could NOT find any sites that covered one-time events

The DS, N64, GameCube, etc. (40) I'll admit that the Nintendo 64 was the first gaming console that I ever got. I loved Nintendo
but then I got an XBox. I learned that the XBox was the best console but I always played my N64
once in a while. Now with that GameCube that has to go down to $99.99 w/ a game to get bought;
it makes Nintendo look bad. Now with the "new" Nintendo DS out-well-to tell you the truth it's
not really that new. Yeah, it has 2 screens but it has the same exact games as all of the other
