I love playing video games. Video games haven't taken away from my social life at all, I often play against my friends and other people online. It's actually pretty fun when you have nothing to do, hell even when you do have something to do it's fun. But there is a limit as to how much I play, I usually just play on school nights when I have no homework.

I don't play video games that often, and I don't think they are a waste of time. Games can get your mind off reality for abit. Sometimes, you just want to get away from reality, and just fall into a small fantasy world. There's nothing wrong with that sometimes. Also, the games I have are not shoot-em-ups or super-violent games. I usually have games where you have to think and where you have to solve puzzles and such.

But, why just say that video games are a waste of time? Movies are too.
So is going on the computer. So what? People can choose how they use their free time. But, as always, this is just my opinion.

i and everybody else(i think) don't play games because they want to be a better person...but to have fun...

so games are notwaist of time!

How can you say that while you are "wasting time" posting on a message board.

I think "wasting your time" on anything (in moderation) can be healthy, so long as that thing is not self-destructive.

antny, we already said that posting on forums are sometimes a waste of time.

Sometimes, games make kids creative and making them more responsive to the environment around them.

i guess, im not a game fanatic! so for me, its a waste of time, cause i might be as well doing other things. but for many game fanatics out there, its not... cause they're enjoying it! maybe the thing is its not a waste of time when you're enjoying what you do, no matter what it is! but when you're bored and all...but still do your thing... that could be a waste of time....

if you know your priorities... and do things with control... then you're not wasting anything! =) its just a matter of budgeting your time! and doing what you love to do!

I used to think that video games were a waste of time too till I started playing some. I was afraid of becoming addicted to them but Im not. My boys use PS2, game boy etc but I monitor what they play to a certain extent, they are 14 and 15. When they were younger I was very strict with them, you have to be. Video games like, boards games etc are a distraction from the real world. A lot of games, especially puzzle and trivia ones are good for the brain. They use parts of our brain that we dont use other wise. Some games are absolute rubbish but to each their own. Its entertainment. Ive seen some of the shoot em up games, my brother plays those. Would make some grannys have a heart attack lol. If you get something out of it play them, If you dont dont, but one should at least give them a chance.

OMG! I hate dying in AA its the most annoying thing. But then again I just simply wait till the next round and steal myself an AR or a G-Launcher and rampage around the map like a mad man..... lol Anyways I love the computer, I am on my comp at least 3 hours each and every day. Whether its playing games or programming.
