This free and very usefull tool can calculate in how many seconds a persona can open a html page (that you specifie in the program) and can calculate in a different modems, i mean, can calculate in a 56k modem, 64k (ISDN), 128K (ISDN), 1.554M (T1), and even in 14.4k, 25.8K and 33.6K connections.
So, if you usually build websites, for you or for your clients like myself, i advice you to use this tool to help see if your visitors/clients are waiting to much time to open the websites, and if they will wait a long time, the most certain is that you're going to loose them to your competion or they will just won't visit your site anymore.

"Using WebSpeed is quite straightforward. To check the download time of a single file, select the file you want to check from the list on the left of WebSpeed. WebSpeed will analyse the file for graphics and then tell you the size of the text page, the size of all the images combined and the overall total size. Note that at present WebSpeed only checks for image files using the <IMG> tag and background images using <BODY BACKGROUND=...> - other files using other tags are not included in the calculations. The download time for a particular image is only included once in the calculation - WebSpeed assumes that the image will be cached by the browser and will be retrieved from the cache if it is used again on the same page. At the same time WebSpeed will calculate the download time for the various modem speeds. If you want to check a series of individual files, a pair of scroll buttons are provided at the top right of the file list. This will select the next or previous file in the list and carry out the calculations automatically.

Add a K or an M if you want to enter a figure in kilobytes or megabytes (e.g. enter 2.6M for 2.6 megabytes). Click the Calculate button to carry out the calculations.
Checking Multiple Files
To check more than one file at a time, select all the files you want to check from the list on the left, then click the Calculate button. WebSpeed will show a list of the selected files, and these should be put into the order in which you envisage the files being downloaded, using the up and down buttons on the right of the list. Click the Calculate button when you have completed ordering the files and WebSpeed will then produce a report on the download time for each file. When checking multiple files WebSpeed assumes that images are only downloaded once during the session and retrieved from the browser cache thereafter. The cache is assumed to be empty at the start. This will give a more accurate picture of the download times which are likely to be experienced by visitors to a site, since many pages may share graphics which will not need to be continually downloaded.

Also, I would like to mention Crimson Editor as a good tool.. It is a regular text editing tool, but it is feature rich, and to mention a few: Syntax Highlighting for countless languages, auto-indenting, line-numbering and custom compiler controls.. You can have your PHP, CSS, HTML, JS, Etc.. all looking good when you code!
Plus it is very quick loading, and it has an FTP feature so you can remote edit your source code files!!

This website is by far the best resource that i have and certanly for many more when i want to learn
Css (cascading style sheets). This is website, besides the fact that is very good looking, very
well designed, very organized, it has so much good information about css, that it's best that i
