Using Serial Printer?

Hi,
In my old delphi project I use epson serial printers but since the computers upgraded to windows xp when I try to print something I get "Access violation at address ####" error, I was using some inline asm code for serial printing I think it is because of this.Is there a alternative way for using serial printers? Thanks.
