When I was still in school, I use computer to do homework and find referernce.
After that, I use the computer to play ICQ, MSN, PC games, online games, mini games, finding stuff for the work, learning new things. Also, I use computer for my work as I am a programmer.

I have a computer for getiing news and playing games (since my ps2 broke ) and mostly for talking to people that are close to me. What do you guys use yours for?
I use my computer primarily to help de-weed the garden, and occasionally to make waffles. Less frequently, I might use it for DVDs and music, and even essay writing. But that's kind of rare.
Do you use any special software for your waffles??
Computer has become my home entertainment, bussines, work and research center. I dont have a tv, I use tv tuner card. I use it for listening to FM/AM radio, but also use Internet radio stations. I use a lot of programs (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, Notepad , Office, GrabIt...) for various tasks (mostly web desing and development). I watch movies on it. Ocasionally I chat and IM with friends (and people I dont even know in real). I read a lot. I've read wikipedia so far, now I'm on msn encarta and then howstuffworks and about.com When I need a good free hosting account I post on trap17 forum's. Since I go to college I do my asignments with it (writing documents, making presentations, reading, reading, designing...) When I have time I play games. Oh, yes, a lot of them. So far I played about 200-300 different titles (al the way to the end) and made a few of my own (text based unfortunately). I even started studying directx sdk (software development kit) for making games (part of it) but didnt have time. I hope to do it some day... That's some of the things I do. Can't remember more right now but I'm sure there are...
I use my computer to get news, because when i sign on MSN messenger i get all the news i need, same with AIM. Who needs TV when you have the net? I also get news when i sign on to my e mail for yahoo, because the Yahoo site has a current news thing.
I also go on my computer to talk to my friends on AIM/MSN/YIM, but most of the time im not really talking to people, i'm just signed on. I also use my computer to make graphics, because i like to make graphics on photoshop it makes time go by faster and its fun.
I don't play alot of games though occasionally i will. I like Spider Solitaire. I go online for school work as well. I watch DVDs on my computer and listen to music as well. I use it to look up pictures to make my graphics, mostly Jude Law and Jake Gyllenhaal, i know that sounds really lame. I'm not star struck, they just have a lot of photos and have the perfect faces to go in a graphic.
I use my computer for just about everything I do. It sounds funny, but I have my computer hooked up to my toaster oven, and one of my old microwaves. Anyway, I use my computer for gaming, research, school work, and some bills.
I have two computers. One is a server and one is for my personal use. The server one performs well, and assists me in hosting IRC Servers without having to leave my laptop on for 24/7 thought, the computer fan is starting to drive me a little nuts and over the edge. The laptop I use for "personal" use and school work. ANything Else I am able to do on my own.
I use the computer for almost everything you can think of. You can find anything on the internet. I do my homework and I use sparknotes for work and reading. I use my computer for downloading and listening to music, videos, pictures, and software. I take school classes online at govhs.org. I watch videos and check out the weather alot. I have an obsession with pictures so I also use my computer for uploading pictures and putting them on my website. I also search the web for comical and crazy websites that not many people know about. You can most certainly do anything on a computer, buy anything on a computer, talk to anyone on a computer, see anything on a computer, hear anything on a computer, and test things on computers. I just love computers. If theres anyone out there that can tell me when kinds of things you can't find or do on the computer I would definitly like to hear them.

You dont know how lucky you have it nowadays, this is a brief look at the computers that got me
where I am today... First up, & probably the first sight of a computer for people my age & older
is the Commodore Pet. A dire machine, which inhabited pretty much every school in the country.
CPU Speed: 1mhz Ram: 16k Rom: 20k Price: £775 Thankfully this was replaced in schools by the
BBCB, which at the time rocked because it had colour output not black & green. It didnt use
cassettes either, we used the fantastically dire floppy disks. These were the original 5....

How would the world be if computers didnt exist? For most of you reading this, computers have
some how become a dependable part of your lives, to have a day go by without using a computer would
seem un-natural( or atleast in my opinion). It hurts my head Just imagine the current world with
computers, just think..... 1)no online communites,( the current 300 people i know..will be down
to 20) 2)no emails,( waiting a whole week to get a message & spending money on postage stamps

I'm having trouble networking with a few Mac OS computers on the LAN I've got my knoppix
machine running on. LEt me see if I can give all of the pertinent details. This system is a
salvaged Intel Celeron 1.1 GHz running Knoppix 3.9. It's connected via eth0 to a router on which
reside an iMac and two Apple Laptops (I don't know their models, I'm not sure it's
relevant to the problem). I've been trying to get this computer and the Apple computers to

Well if we want to start talking about computers and I kind of do I would start with how many
computers I have. I currently have 11 computers and they are all less than two years old. I have
many things I use them for and I am going to tell you what I use them for shortly. three computers:
Three of my computers have 4 gig ram and are used for hosting games off of them when I do not have
money to buy dedicated servers. I have used all of them in the past three months but they have been
for ventrilo servers or cs servers but no real gaems. five computers: Five of my co....
I am wanting to save my money for a laptop computer, and I want to know what type/brand of laptop is
the best one, and will it work for years to come? /unsure.gif' border='0'
style='vertical-align:middle' alt='unsure.gif' /> I just want to know which laptop computer will
work, so I am not wasting money and something that won't work. I don't know of many laptop
computer brand names, I don't even know which one works the best because I have never owned a
laptop before. The only brand names that I know, that I think are good, are: Bell; HP; Gateway; and

Well, what do you guys think the future of computers will become? Will computers manage many of the
things that humans do nowadays? I think a good example is the movie iRobot. I mean is our world
going to become like that, if yes, well when do you think this will happen? Do you think we will be
able at some point to travel as fast as the speed of light going from galaxy to galaxy?? I think we
will, and i hope i am alive for when this happens. I wonder if one day we will be able to live in a
nother planet. Who knows, but say what you think.....

suggestions I would really appreciate your input. I'm presently reading Building a PC For
Dummies in order to get me started. Thank you for any help you can give... Ciao!
