There are a few I've got here:

http://www.propercomfy.co.uk/ - No ads, either.
http://www.domaindlx.com - You have to request it first, though.
http://www.koolpages.com - Unlimited from signup.

In my opinion, kool pages seems like the best bet since you're looking for unlimited bandwidth but the banner ads would kinda put me off if I were you.

You could try proper comfy but "unlimited" is actually 2.7 GB/day if you read the fine print. They also threaten to kick you out if you use too much.

Haven't actually tried any of them myself. I'm using FR&T (www.frandt.com) at the moment, but they've got a 1GB/month cap. And terrible server uptime. It's been up for all of 5 minutes in the past 2 weeks.

yea, even the paid ones... The would tell you it's unmetered but actually they have an upper limit for you and if you exceed it, they'll either charge you or take down your site, because they need to pay for the extra bandwidth too...

Yeah, the market ploy choetry refers to is called overselling. The admin, OpaQue has an 'article' about it here somewhere. The tactic involves telling you that you recieve unlimited bandwidth, however you really get (for example) 10 gigs a month. Which they feel, will not be used by ANYONE. If you're providing a download site, i suggest you simply own your own ftp server. Which will be alot less hassle, and cost (in the long run) and have people download from there. Downloading via the internet is fine and dandy, but not cost effective for the host/owner. Even the paid once, like choetry said, oversell if they said they had unlimited bandwidth. The bandwidth is similar (to dumb it down, no offense) to the internet connection at your house, I have 1.5 mbps of 'bandwidth' per-se. And there's no way I can download/upload at a speed faster than that, seeing as that's my cap. Your web-hosting provider has 'alot' of bandwidth, but they don't have an unlimited speed connection, if you catch my drift. I know that's not a completely accurate description of bandwidth, but it's the best way I know to explain.

Actually no one gives unlimited bandwith because bandwidth itself has as limit. No matter what anyone says there is no unlimited bandwidth. I think you are better off with limited bandwidth and a good hosting account than a unlimited account where your host kicks you out due to too much usage. I think OpaQue can give you a pretty good idea on unlimited bandwidth.

Here's a site with UNLIMITED DISK SPACE AND UNLIMITED BANDWIDTH with a free forum built in!! The only bad point is that it does not accept any files of 700kb and above and the file extension accepted is limited...

Free bandwidth sites with low space amount is only good for pieces of what can make up a large file that is a "top hits" download. Other then that you pay for it

atspace is not taking new signups... that really *BLEEP* because it would be a good place to host some of my files since it is unlimited. On one of my websites, i can see in cpanel that .php and .html files are using up a lot of bandwidth already. If I moved all my graphics to that host, then I could save a lot.

a little off topic:
do those image hosting places like image bucket allow hotlinking to graphics? In other words, if I tried to use a graphic from a webpage that was part of the design and not just a link. they have unlimited bandwidth right?

i cant see anyone giving away free unlimited bandwidth, there has to be catches, and i cant see how there can be a limit to something virtual (internet) as it is not a physical thing
