I'm involved in the Democratic society at my University, it's very cool. Once you get your head around all the politics of politics suddenly the nightly news seems a lot more interesting. I'll be going for president(of the organisation) next year, don't think I'll get it but a commitee member hopefully.
I have joined many of the schools’ and university’s activities. I was the vice president of my school’s Music and Drama Club for 3 years
At Oxford, in 2004, I participated in the E-Mentoring program, in which each Oxford student was paired up with one sixth form student, and the purpose of which was to encourage further education. As a mentor, my responsibility involved corresponding with my mentee at least once a week via email to give her advice and answer her questions.
In 2005, I applied and was chosen to participate in the Peer Supporting Program. As a part of the Program, I received 30 hours of intensive training (on listening skill, how to help people deal with stress, how to deal with people having suicidal risks, and etc.) by the Oxford University Counseling Service. Upon the completion of the training, I joined the college’s peer support panel, which facilitates necessary welfare service in the college and which is subject to the University’s Counseling Service’s supervision. . Moreover, I am a member of an all- girl choir in Oxford and, in the summer 2001. And I am the Secretary of the Oxford Thai Committee.
However, I'm not a part of the college's JCR or students' committee.
I'm Vice President of the Asian Club at my school. We don't do much. I blame it on our President. Then I"m in the Anime club. It just started and I don't know what's it about yet. But it has to do with Anime lovers. Than I"m in Future Teachers of America or by some other name they switched to. We help teachers and do community service. I'm also involved in the student Senate. Its fun influecing the school.
I love the organizations that I am a part of. I recently joined the video and film assocaition and it has been a great way to learn and at the same time satisfy my video needs. I cannot wait until the track season begins.
Hmm.. I would love to be in the computer club, or start up an anime club or... join any club at all, but I dont have the time. Guess my full-time job will have to be my club.. it's like.. the Poor Kids Club, haha XD
(Actually, I'm in Phi Theta Kappa, but I dont think anyone knows it, since I'm almost never there.. and that doesn't really count anyways ^^; )
I was a part of a big organisation for schools here in INdia, The KENDRIYA VIDYALAYAS
Thaim of this oraganisation is to remove privatisation of education by providing better govt. Schooling facilites, It is run by central govt. And have wonderfull examination and co-curricular promotion system
I belong to the Computer Society and the Honors Society in our University. I didn't really join both clubs intentionally, I sort of got in after I got enrolled in my first year. With my course I automatically became a member of the Computer Society since it's a policy in my college. I got in the Honors Society because I was one of those who topped the entrance examination and so I got a scholarship.
Hi there, I'm in my sophomore year of high school, and college is right around the corner. To
tell you the truth, I'm scared. I've never been away from home for an extended period
amount of time, and therefore, I don't know what to expect when it comes to college life. Does
anyone have any advice for a person like me on how to cope with my new surroundings and if this
frightened feeling will go away?....
nowdays tuition and fees for college are much higher than ever before . how to finance one's
college education has become a matter of great concern for many people , thee young students and
their family. actually just as there is more than one way to skin a cat so it seems we can deal
with tuition and fees in many ways. some can get all the neede money from their parents . some
others can apply for a loan specially set up for college students . still others can also raise the
money completely by themselves , by doing a fu-time job in the summer and winter holid....
When is it best to start mailing your applications? I know some of my friends who have already done
it and some who haven't even thought of it yet. What should I consider about the college I want
to go to? I have pretty good GPA (above 3), SAT scores, and a ton of volunteering/clubs/sports/etc.,
but I cannot afford to pay for pretty much any college eve with the student loan. What would you
advice me?....
I know for my first year of college I wasn't sure at all what I needed and what I didn't.
Turns out I brought some of the necessary things, but left behind others that totally slipped my
mind. Now that it's my second year, I feel like I did much better, but I'm wondering what
other essentials I've forgotten. What are your favorite things that you have brought to
college for your dorm living experience? So far I've found a mini fridge, microwave, and
electronic tea kettle/coffee pot to be extremely useful and definitely necessary! Sometim....

Hey Everyone! Okay, I am currently a high school junior, thinking about attending Bloomsburg
University of Pennsylvania! Has anyone ever heard of the university? Well, I have done a lot of
research regarding the university, and it is definitely the school for me. I'm thinking about
majoring in computer science (B.S.) and then going to graduate school for my Ph.D. I would really
like to end up being a college professor of computer science one day, but I guess I will just have
to see how it goes in my undergraduate years before I apply for my doctorate. /bigg....

I just learnt from a TV program that all Duke University students are using iPOD as a learning aid,
from taping lectures, listening preloaded lectures, download/uploading assignments etc. It is a
brilliant idea and it should be promoted to all universities in the States, and worldwide. Just
wonder if there is any Dukkies here at trap17 forum, I would like to suggest that you share your
information (if allowed) in your iPOD to some self-learning adults in the community. They might want
to learn from the lectures in your iPOD. If you could find a way to share, that's....
Anyone else ever take an 18-credit load in college? Even a 17? Just took my first
"crammer-semester," as my friends affectionately call it, last fall.... the results were not pretty
to say the least. Let's just say the pattern of working hard from day 1 to day 40ish and then
gradually declining from that point until the week before finals appears far too often for me.
Seems normal college behavior (unless you're a work/study-aholic), more than half the campus
does the same thing, but it just feels a bit ADD to me. Gotta start popping Ritzee's I guess, l....
Since I'm still in junior high, I don't have to worry about this yet, but could somebody
tell me what the difference between college and university is? And how could people stand going
through college and university?....
What do you guys like best about your schools/ colleges?? I wanna talk about the school in which I
did my A-level. I think what I liked best about the school was the tutors and their small classes.
The maximum number of students in each class is limited to only 8. And we all receive extensive
care, attention....and tutors there are not only tutors, they are like friends and also parents.
We had a lot of fun in class.....and we also learn things very well as a result of having small
classes. When I was having problems with anything ....e.g. when I need a dentist (I....
Ok, and now for $50...
