Earths Daughter

| | I recently downloaded a program that didn't work. I got an error on installing it. So I tried to delete it and I couldn't. I kept getting a message about it being in use by another program. So I checked what was running, and it wasn't listed anywhere in the Task Manager. Next I did a virus scan, and ran Ad Aware, and Spybot S&D without any results. Rebooting didn't help either. I did some searching, and found out this isn't an uncommon problem with XP. It turns out the program using it was probably Windows Explorer. Rather than trying to delete it in Safe Mode, I did a little looking around, and found a neat little free utility. It's called "Move on Boot". It lets you move, delete or rename a program as Windows boots up. You just pick what program to do what to, and it does it the next time you boot up your pc. It worked like a charm.

The Icons Of Zip Files Are Wrong Everytime!
- Windows 2000 (3)
Hello! I am going crazy for a silly little thing. Please help me anyone! The icon for
ZIP files never shows the way it is supposed to. Instead it insists on displaying the Windows
'default document' icon for ZIP files. If I rightclick a zip and choose icon properties, I
can set the icon to be fetched from the winzip executable instead, and all looks fine and dandy
inside the properties dialog, but after refreshing or repairing icon cache it is still the default
document icon that is displayed. If I try to change the icon enough times it will ev...

I have a mac book pro and an imac at home. I have accounts of user 'sone' on both machines

its not shared by default here but is there any way I can be able to mount that folder or even give
access to myself from my macbook pro to it? It would save a lot of tedious steps to share it other
wise i.e copying it to another shared folder. Any information much appreciated thank you. ***** OK

Scrap Files?

First I'm not sure where this goes, but it appears to be a Windows thing, so I'll ask here.
What is a scrap file? One suddenly appeared on my desktop after I used Word, and it only contained a
line of text that I ended up getting rid of. Is it like a swap file?...
