It has come to my attention that the website http://megamanol.trap17.com/ , as hosted on Trap17, has repeatedly abused certain parts of the Terms of Service, and am requesting its removal.

Firstly, in the attempt to advertise their message board, they have gone to multiple other boards and mass-spammed a promotion on them to dozens of users. Doing this - spamming and only signing up to promote themselves - was against the rules of each of those boards.

This goes against one of the Unacceptable Uses listed: "Spam and Unsolicited Commercial Emails (UCE) are not allowed. Accounts will be cancelled and deleted immediately if found to be spamming or sending out UCE."

Alternatively, it also breaks this: "Trap17.com has a zero tolerance policy for the use of its network for the posting of messages or commercial advertisements, which violate the rules, regulations, FAQ or charter of any newsgroups or mailing list."

A second abuse was repeated theft of material from other websites. Initially, the format and layout of their message board entirely mimicked that of Rockman Perfect Memories( http://www.rockmanpm.com/forum/ ). It was only changed recently. More importantly, they have continually stolen news articles from other websites without permission from the original writer. In their Megaman News section, multiple articles have been ripped from the Atomic Fire site. This goes against both the legal rules within the AF site itself, but yet another ruling, this time under Excessive Use:

"No Copyright material without written permission from the copyright holder is allowed. [...] You shall obtain any and all necessary consents and clearances to enable you lawfully to make use of all and any intellectual property rights through the Services, including without limitation, clearance and/or consents in respect of your proposed domain name."

The staff of the Megaman Online website have been notified and requested to desist on many occasions, by many people. They have almost always been met with deletion of messages or bans. Recently, they have sent another round of spam advertisements. Tonight I attempted to post a message on their forum to tell them to stop, quoting said Terms of Service. My post was deleted and my account (and, I presume, IP address) were banned for "bad posts".

Therefore, I come to you, and I trust you will deal with it accordingly. A copy of this message will be sent both to webmaster(-at-)trap17.com and abuse(-at-)computinghost.com as I am uncertain as to which is the proper address.
