I am thankful that I made through this year especially because I have had so many changes in my life--my job, my house, my family and my friends. It started very rough and I was lost for a while. But now that the year 2005 is nearly ending, I look back and realized that I was one of the lucky ones to have a house, a family, a job and friends who are still with me today. I am also thankful that I became a part of Trap17 family, the community that will be inscribed to my memories.
My wish for today is that our government's fiscal crisis will be turned around to much stable situation. I wish that my town's budget is balanced so that hard working class is suffering no longer. I wish for the things that to be different for the better future. I wish that we all wish for the same peace and harmony that will save this planet. And I hope that our troops will one day return home and we shall embrace them not with our prejudice but with honor and respect. Everyone says that this war's been like that of Vietnam. Well let's not repeat the same mistake of shunning out our troops when they return. Whether it's right or wrong the bottom line is that they are torn away from their families and they need all our support. Let's not waste anymore energy by pointing our fingers to someone.

Well I am thankful for many things in my life. I am thankful for my parents for providing me with everything I have and all my gadgets and toys I am thankful for making it through the almost the first semester of the IB program in my new high school. It has been hard to make it through this year but with my friends I would never of made it. Also I am thankful for finding Trap17 and meeting all my new friends here and being able to replace my free hosting. This is a much better place. I am thankful for all the money I have been able to make to buy my laptop and stuff like that to keep me occupied. Of course there is my computer programming teacher. She is the best, same with my spanish teacher.
My wish this year is that the war ends between the U.S. and Iraq and all other countries so we can be at peace once again. Of course this could take a lot of time but making Iraq a better country will help out the world. At the moment though I have been really wishing to make it through high school. It is going to be very hard but I know I can do it. I also hope that those hurt in the hurricanes are safe as well as my family and relatives. Hopefully we can have a better country and world ahead of us and everyone helps make it happen.
Let me start by saying Happy/Merry Trap-mas/Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Winter Solstice/Boxing Day/Christmahanukwanzakah/Decemberween/Festivus/any other December holidays I forgot.
I really have a lot of things to be thankful for. I have family who care about me and a lot of friends. I have a nice place to live, my family rarely has any problems, there's always extra money for whatever. I'm in a good high school, I'm getting really good grades. I've even been less shy this year than last year, and I can see the effects. I really can't complain about anything, my life is pretty great right now.
I don't really know what I hope for. For myself, I just want to be more outgoing and for nothing to go horribly wrong. For other people, there are several things. I'd like for the so-called "war on terror" (somewhat of an oxymoron) to end as quickly and safely as possible. It'd be nice if the U.S. national debt were to go down, and maybe some tension ease between countries. I'd also like for the media to stop hyping up things so much. We hear about all these terrible things that really aren't all that bad. The media just focuses on the bad news, then makes it seem worse than it is. You rarely hear anything about the huge leaps in medicine and technology on the news. They get you to buy in by making a climate of fear. I wish that the media would go easy on the fear.
Hmm, maybe I got a little carried away there. Anyway, have a good holiday season, everyone! Hope you get a lot of gifts!
I'm very excited in the direction my life is going right now; that's one item I'm greatly thankful for. My family is awesome, I'm doing well in school considering I'm taking four college level classes my sophomore year, and there's not an enemy that I can think of. I'm thankful for all of my friends, for my friend Michael, who's recovering from having a brain tumor removed. I'm glad that Vincent, another friend, has finally earned enough money to have an infected membrane removed. I'm grateful for being able to find the love of my life. The majority of my gratitude goes towards my brother, though, who's fighting the battle of addiction to drugs on his own, and winning.
My wish for the future isn't some "Miss America" answer, it focuses on individuals, not global items. I can only hope that Vincent when he's done with surgery, recovers well, and that Michael continues to recover without problems. I wish that my friend Donald won't give up hope with his grades; he's had a 4.0 average for the past three years, but they're starting to lower from problems at home. Best wishes to all of them.
My New Year's resolution: to focus on my grades, which are more important than my current job and spending large amouns of time with my friends. My career matters for the future; earning money for that new car doesn't.
First of all, Happy Holidays to all of you out there in trap-land. This is my favorite time of year, not only because of christmas(this is the holiday I celebrate), but that my birthday is also 6 days before christmas.
Wow, I really do have a lot to be thankful for. I am really thankful for my family. We are really going through some rough times during this holiday season, and I'm just glad that I still have them. I am also thankful that my mother's newly bought house is oficially hers after a 3 month battle with the county it is located in. I'm thankful for the citizens of Jefferson, Ohio for voting yes on a bill for 3 new schools, and a state-of-the-art auditorium. It's too bad I won't be around to see it, since I will be in college. There is just so much I am thankful for, I can't even list them all.
My main hope is that the war in Iraq will be over soon. I know many families are being torn apart by having a loved one over in Iraq, and it is just devistating if one of them dies. Earlier in the year, there were about 9 or 10 people from a town near where I live that were killed within a 2 week period. I just cannot imagine what those people have gone through.
My wish, although it may be a little selfish, is that I might find the right girl. If I'm lucky, before prom. Right now, I kind of need someone there for me, that isn't part of my family.
I think, for my new year's resoultion, I'm going to try to work out a little more, eat a little less. Hopefully this will equal less body fat, and a little more muscle. It wouldn't hurt to concentrate a little more on my grades.
I'm thankful for many things. One of my biggest is the fact that I was lucky enough to get into one of the best High Schools where I live. I never thought I could but I did and I'm thankful for that. Another thing I'm thankful for is my life. Although it may not be as good, it's not bad. Thinking about something I read earlier [Something about how there's always someone out there with a worse life than me.]it made me think. My life isn't bad, it just doesn't live up to my expectations. But after what I read, I've changed how I felt. Trap17, can't forget them. I learned lots of things during my time here. I also made a couple of friends here, and a tiny reputation amount a few. Lastly, I want to thank all my friends and one very special site. They include ones I met inside and outside of the internet. They made me who I am today. Without them, I probably wouldn't have made it into a good school. Looking back at how I was before, I can sure say, thank you F. A. * Something is different this year. Instead of the usual greedy wishes, I actually have a meaningful one. A few weeks back, my dad found out that he had a disease. I don't know the name of it, but it had something to do with glucose level in one's blood. It's a shame what he had to go through. Just yesterday was his birthday. He acted all calm, but deep inside, I could tell that he was afraid. So my wish this year, is that he gets better. * I do hope that next year I'll be more mature. High School is a tough journey for some, and I sure do hope that I'll get through it easily. It surely can't hurt to wish for a girl in my life, right?
First of all, Season's Greetings to everyone out there, and I hope you safe and wonderful holiday season.
I have a few things to be thankful for. My family, even though they are on the other side of the world from where I currently live, continue to give me support and advice if run into any troubles. I'm also thankful to have found a new job and not have to move very farl, as well having supportive co-workers and neighbours in my new place. Luckily, everything is working out so far...but it could be better. (More on that later.)
My main wish is that my grandparents continue to be in good health. They've been steadily on the decline recently, but I hope to see them again in the new year....especially since me and my own family don't get to see them that often. My wife and I are also looking forward to seeing our son continue to develop over the next year. He's accomplished so much over the first year or so of his life and although it's tiring at times, it's a joy to watch him grow right before our eyes.
As for my own goals, I wish to further develop myself professionally and take the necessary steps to make the move back to Canada in a few years. I've taken a look at what positions I could do...all I need is a little more advice and someone to guide me in the right direction.

It is because I celebrate Christmas, I say a Merry Christmas hoping that you understand it as the utmost holiest power to be bestowed upon each and everyone of you (and not subjecting you to my religion).
I thought I join in the fun hmmm what to be thankful I guess I can be thankful for surviving the year in Iraq and getting to know some new people while over there as well from all parts of the world. Lets thankful that I found this website and part of a very big community meeting eve more people around the world as well.
What I wish well even though it won't come true that the world governments stop lyin tog the people and tell the truth about whats going on in the world.
Also wish for the soldiers who are serving like I did be safe out there and remember that all people are not bad just the ones who want the attention.

Of Course what I hope for is for my schooling to go by quick and with good grades and what not so I can get the first part of my college work done with 3 degrees in web designing, computer management and computer networking.
Also Hope that every stays well and enjoys themselves this holiday season. Also hope that 2006 will not be the year of death like 2005 has been as well.
I am thankful for how things are going for me at school. Last year was really tough and I am glad that it is not so bad this year. I am also thankful for all the friends and family who make my life even better.
My hope for next year is that the United States can finally pull out of Iraq so all the soldiers can come home. On that note I hope that the Iraqis soon will no longer have to worry about being killed when they leave their homes. I also hope that the school system where I live can get out of debt.
My wish is that the jobs come back to the United States. I know too many people who have lost their jobs during this past few years. I also wish for this Earth to become more peaceful because I would consider this one of the most violent times in the history of civilization.

I'm thankful for my family and friends this Christmas. My dad has been going through some tough times, with his back problem and all, and he's been giving everyone else problems aswell. But hopefully that will stop, even for just a day, as tomorrow the whole family will get together..to celebrate x-mas eve day.
It's a tradition for each person in our family to bring one gift. Called the "White Elephant". We gather all those gifts in a pile, and start drawing randomly, exchanging them(yes, forcfully something ). This is the time our whole family can get to gether and talk, have fun, and enjoy a nice meal. It's definetly the best time of the year.
I've got some great friends, and I couldn't be happier with our friendship. We hang out together a lot. Movies, and that kind of stuff. They're really great friends and I'm so glad I have met them. I've known them for all my life and we still manage to put up with eachother. I truely thankfull for having great friends.

The past year has been a really rough one for me. I have gone through alot of difficulty and hardship. I am grateful and thankful for a few things anyway. I am thankful for the dear and close friends who I have. They have been my life saver's on many occations. I am grateful also to Trap17 for providing a good service to me in hosting. Even if I sometimes fall into the negative for a day or two or more. I always come back though and try to give you the help I can. I am grateful to all the people here who have been kind to me and have joined me in my many discussions. I also have enjoyed occationally the fights on the army system. I have had some enjoyable discussions on the shout board as well. I also have made a few friends who I chat with on im outside of this site. I am also grateful to them. I am grateful to my family for being the kind and gentle souls they are and for putting up with me though all the difficulty. I am grateful for the work that many people do to make this site and many other sites out there keep on working. I am grateful to be alive.
My wish for the following year is to hopefully have more positive than negative in my life. I also hope that the people who have been such giving souls here on this forum and throughout this site would get great rewards. There are so many deserving people here. It is my hope that I just might find love this coming year. I also hope that there will be peace at last in the middle east. I hops that I will fulfill my dream of impacting each person who crosses my path in a positive and great way.
I am posting this here rather than in the 'Web design' topic as it seems to be something
which happens exclusively to my Trap 17 web site. When i have my web site open, which you can find
here , every so often (quite regular actually) a short and high pitched beep is sounded. At first I
thought it had something to do with my sound card or my PC, but recently I discovered it only
happens when I have my site open. It does not matter which page of the site I have open, or whether
the page has multimedia embedded in it, I get it regardless of the page I am on. Has....
Well, here it is the close of my second year with Trap 17. Seems like only last month I was
lured over here from Asta Host by JLHaslip. Actually it was on 5th January 2006 and 2 days later I
got my hosting approved. I have really enjoyed my time on the forum, all the support I have
received from so many members, greeting new members as they join and introduce themselves, helping
out whenever I can (which is seldom in the tech department, since I am not extremely computer or
graphics literate, but I do my best), giving opinions on subjects I may have a little mo....
Well almost two days ago I stumbled across Flickr and decided that since I've seen it before and
I had the time, I would join. Y'know what? It's great! Note Flickr relies on a yahoo
account! if you already have a yahoo email, thats great! all you'll have to do is choose
a username and your'e away.. if not it's still pretty easy (contrary to popular opinion
/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />) This made
me remember the Xisto effort on a Myspace & Orkut that never really took off. We....
Well I just installed a mod, and it said you must have an Apache Server or something. SO does trap
use an Apache Server and if not is there anyway we can since it says its free....
Just was looking at the phpinfo for the Hosted Accounts and do we really have PHP Version 5.1.6?
When did that start? Now we can make use of all the nice stuff in php5. OOPS and the Mysql stuff

I was wondering if i could somehow transfer some of my credits from my Trap 17 account to my Asta
host account because i have gained many credits here at Trap 17 and i am having a hard time gaining
that many credits there.I just want to transfer maybe a months worth of credits (30 credits) And
thats it. I have been very busy lately and it's hard to post on both forums and post enough to
gain a good amoun of credits. If it's not even possible that's ok. Thanks anyways. P.S.

this is just a really quick question i was redaing some psots and it got me thinking, trap 17 has to
be hosted somewhere and if its in mans shed then thats fine, but really how much space does trap 17
take up with hosting account and without hosting accounts, then how much abdnwidth a month do they
use? and then how big is the my sql data base with all of our hsoting credits and accounts on, wow
thats gotta be a lot, so i was wondering if admin would tell me or not, and maybe you could setup a
page at the home page to tell use some if this information, thanks dudes and ....

I have just requested the domain change and they have granted it to me. The problem is that my it
paginates web I have it in a subdominio type index.xxxx.trap17.com instead xxxx.trap17.com. How I
make for translate the web that I have created in the subdominio to the new domain that I will add?

ok, I was thinking, what if we had a signature system that linked to a page (like
'signature.php') on our trap17 website or something. This way, we can include javascript,
because I have a sig rotator on mine: Http://www.psychdesigns.net/signature.php I think that
this would be great, or mabie just let us have php in our signatures, so we can go CODE

trap17 offers, it is great! but i still don't understand all the archives in there, what are
.fantastico, .htpasswds, and some contents of that folders like _vti_bin, _vti_log, etc... Please
someone tell me what are they, and how they work or at last a suggestion on how to begin.

Hi, I uploaded some data to my ftp server and i would to bring the possibility of downloading it to
some friends of me. But i am not able to access my ftp sever with a browser (e.g. Firefox). I tried:
ftp://anonymous@mytrapname.trap17.com/ But i always get: "421 Unable to set up secure anonymous
FTP". In my FTP Manager i have the anonymous user created so i do not understad why i can not. Any
idea?....
Hallo, i have used many free hosts and this is by far teh best. I just got approved and signed in 5
min. ago and WOW WEE it is really really good! The cPanel looks absoulty amazing and everything
is tidy and orgainzed. u'd think it was an paid host but NO!. Thank you again admins and
staff of Trap 17, u guys really are teh best FREE host there is on the net. BTW: i have encountered
a couple fo scam hosts that tell u teh wrong ftp, user name,... so on... Don't use byehost.com.
they have so many names, some times byeThost, sometimes Byehost11. Its all a sc....
Hi, I bought two domain names. I pointed one to my trap17 account root. It works perfecttly. My
doubts come while pointing the other one. I would like to point the other one to a subfolder of my
trap17 domain. For example: www.domain2.com --> should point to -->
mizako.trap17.com/domain2/ Just now i just went to CPanel/Parke Domains/ and i add there the
domain2. Now i have boths domain names pointing to the my trap17 root. Can anyone tell me how to do
to point the second one to a subfolder? Thanks in advanced.....

I joined Trap 17 a couple of months ago, I was then warned for 'spamming' - which I had done
inadvertently - since I am not an experienced 'spammer' I had no idea what it meant.
Immediately upon being told not to do it - I stopped. I had posted just a few messages anyhow and
freely admitted what I had done. Then a few days ago - I went to log on - and was told I
couldn't log on because I had 'spammed' again. Which I had NOT! I was given no
explanation - and was told I was banned for 5 ( or 7 ) days - but they left my website up ?? So - i....
heyas, i'm having some prolems connecting to trap17s ftp today, its the 1st time this is
happening. maybe its just temporary, i don't know.. i'm using WS FTP PRO, and the address
i'm using is: ftp://ket.trap17.com it tries to connect but i get an error, the error message
i get is: Finding Host ket.trap17.com ... Connecting to 69.50.188.18:21 Connect failure i also
tried to connect via IE, (ftp://ket@ket.trap17.com) but i also got an error: "Windows cannot access
this folder. Make sure you typed blah blah blah... Details: A connection to the se....
