i didn't whirly know where to put this....so i'm hoping i got the wright subforum..
so the question is...what torrent client do you use or like...and what interntet connection do you have...and how much you pay for it..(i want to know because, here in croatia...the prices are way bigger then yours...for a slow connection)
so...i will go fisrt...
i use BitTorrent 0.3.9 and Netlimiter with it. ...for me...the best one
and i have ADSL connection with download 384kbps- 40KiB/s...and upload 64kbps-6KiB/s....and the limit of download for a month is 512MB and i pay for it 30$/month......i know...it sucks
If i remember correctly i am using Bit Tornado which i find is probably one of the best torrent clients out there well at least i think it is lol (dont hold me to that ),...
I have a 2mb adsl connection with around 250-300 KB/s download :D and 2mb Upload and my dad pays around £35 a month which i think is $63 a month but im not sure.
Anyways now that suprnova is gone i dont really use bit torrent that much as i cant find a good torrent host, anyone found any good ones? plz share
I've used the "standard" client. Which I didn't find very good to be honest, quite bad as far as usability goes. So I switched to pretty much the first client I could find which handled multiple downloads well, that client happened to be BT++, which was an okay client I guess, better than the standard one at any rate.
But then suddenly one day BT++ stopped working. So I started looking for a new client. For me it came down to either Azureus or ABC. I went with ABC, becuase java apps which have GUIs tend to be rather sluggish. I didn't check to find out if that was the case with Azureus, but I just couldn't be bothered.
ABC is a nice client, based on BitTornado actually. You can get it here.
I use Azureus because it's for Windows and Linux and vice versa. It's also made w/ Java I like it alot because I can limit the upload speed so I get better download speed. Plus, I will use less bandwidth w/ my 3.0 MBPS. I really need the 5.0 MBPS soon! (Yes, Canada does have 5.0 MBPS dl and 800 KBPS ul for residential internet)
hello guys i think most of us know about torrent, i just like to know which torrent manager to be use for downloading.. as of now im using Utorrent.
I use Shareaza. It's free, open source, and has no spyware or adware. Anyone else who needs a clean, free P2P client can get it at http://www.shareaza.com

removed the query string in the off chance this was a referral of some sort.

utorrent is clean and free too, and I'm pretty sure it's open source too. I use utorrent and am pretty happy with it; though, my downloads are slow, but I think its because of my internet and router.
i use uTorrent to get stuff that i want. i've used BitTorrent before but i was totally clueless about torrents and torrent clients before so i discontinued the usage. i was introduced to uTorrent by my classmate in my database class when we did our overnights at their home. at that time i only had a dial-up connection at home so you could imagine the speed i'm getting when i download albums. if i remember correctly, the very first album i've successfully downloaded using a torrent client is the album of carrie underwood. i've downloaded it before using kazaa but i lost the copy because of the virus i got after using kazaa. when we subscribed for a dsl connection, the first album i downloaded was the live album of dishwalla.
i don't know about the download connection though. i rarely check it. as long as i see seeders, i'm fine with it the cost of monthly dsl subscription is P999 i think so that would cost around US$20-$25, which is added to our monthly phone fees.
