The monitor has a wavy and distorted picture to it and its very hard to move the mouse around. The cursor will start to fade in and out and all of the moving objects will be very blury. Now i understand that this is an old laptop and it may be suppose to have a blury video output, but the mouse fading shouldnt be happening i thought. Until i read up online that alot of the same models and even newer models are having this problem. It does not show up right away when you first get the laptop but it is installed with a faulty video card that is easily damaged and then can cause the same side effects. Does anyone else have this problem or know any information about it? |

Can you list the following: Notebook modle Graphic card Operating system, i have a Toshiba notebook as well, but as you listed yours is older could you list the manufacturing date if you know it. If you can get all that information i may have a solution to your problem. Just P.M. me or reply in this post the information.

Purchasing A New Notebook, Which One?
(11) Hi, i want to get a new laptop because the only i currently have isnt that great. i got an
acer5101awlmi 2ghz turion64, 60gb hd, 1.5gb ram, and 128mb shared graphics(ati radeon xpress 1100).
it tends to get very hot now days and all my videos come out quite poor e.g not sharp.. pixelated.

My Notebook Takes Ages To Start Up
(4) The notebook at my office takes at least 20 minutes to start up after I log in! There will be a
box that says 'Running startup script' before my desktop loads. Why is this so? I'm
not the only one in the office with this problem though, so I thought it might be due to age or
something, but even my PC at home which I've used for some 3 years doesn't take half as

Choosing A Graphic Card
(11) I'm interested in upgrading my graphic card (only months old) because it's too slow when I
play BF2. Currently I have a 256mb 64-bit GeForce 7100 GS. I want to get a 512mb GeForce card but
there's a 256mb card with a higher bit-count. I don't know the difference between RAM and
Bit. i want to be able to set all the graphic settings to high and still be able to play the game

What Graphic Card Should I Get?
Upgrading computer soon. (4) I'm planning to upgrade my computer soon. Right now i'm using a *BLEEP* Nvidia Geforce 2 mx
card, which can barely play any top of the line games, and i am planning to upgrade it soon.
