This topic is about internet safety and tips on how to protect your children on the internet
1.Warn your children about the dangers of the internet. 2.turn on all of your search engine filters. 3.turn on your computer's built in firewall or buy one from a computer store. Try Norton. 4.Always check up on your child/children every 5 minutes or so. And last of all ask your kids what they have been up to at the end of their session.
Most of them I agree with but I would say instead of watching them every few minutes block the sites completely until they are old enough and mature enough to handle them. You can do that with security suit software, most firewall software, and of course you can install tracking software and check on it later to see where your children are. However, it's all about trust and both parents and children have to build that slowly, because trust is easy to break and children get harm the most on the internet, and also your children to need to rely on you when they are being bullied especially on the internet. Also limit the amount of time they spend on the computer as well and that will be even better for most young children.

"Trust" meaning that you don't keep a whitelist and block all other sites that aren't TreehouseTV.com.
Limiting the amount of time is okay, but also, with some more advanced parental controls, you can limit the actual times that the child goes on the Internet. (say, between 6:00 and 6:30 per day only.)
Hi there, Does anybody know why the javascript roll-over effect seems to work only some of the
times in Internet Explorer? And how do I fix that? For instance, I created a picture roll-over
effect for a client web site. When you move the mouse over the image, another image reveals itself.
This works fine in Mozilla and Netscape, but not consistently in Internet Explorer. But, I've
created another web site using the exact same javascript roll-over effect that works fine in
Internet Explorer all of the time. Thank you in advance for any replies!....
