Wow this post is getting alot of response and all of them are very interesting but very long so I only read the first 3 and the last 2.

That is interesting about the smaller particles matak and the 11 dimensions. This kind of topic is alot of fun to discus since it makes you think way out of the box.

csp: I actually want to be a movie producer when I get older because of the fact they are so open to so many different ideas and give people ideas which can turn into theories. Even if a movie is completely incorrect in so many ways and breaks so many laws someone can change a few things around to make it make since to them like in the Simpsons episode there may have been scientific errors in it but it made me think in a different way.

I think it's fun to think of it in the simplest way possible where were inside a galaxy which is inside a universe which is inside a "Quantum Theory" which is inside of an organism which is inside of another world which is inside of a galaxy and so on and also vice versa.

Smack: You made me remember MIB which is pretty much a simplified version of what I'm talking about because it is smaller worlds within smaller worlds. BTW, very good movie...

OpaQue: Think of it this way. Instead of zooming in zoom out until the galaxie is about the size of the dimmest star in the night. Now that speck could be anything as far as you know without scientists telling you what it really is. But there are lots of galaxies so imagine zooming out even farther until the space between the galaxies is not see able and it looks like a larger speck (Which is really combined of thousands of galaxies) but still without the aide of a scientist to tell you what it is as far as you know its a large/bright star. So if you can't see the exact detailed surface of quork then how do you know it isn't trillions of galaxies that are to close together to measure but are not touching meaning at a certain view they would seem very far apart. Often ppl wonder what's it about. What is happiness, sorrow, love, hate? Universe and everything else. You can say that the answer is You. It is all about you. All the things that you feel, experience and do, they are all about you. Someone might say that it is selfish. But i don't think so. You can't help anyone else unless first you help yourself. So put this in universe perspective. You can wonder what is behind a galaxy, or what is smaller than atom. To understand that You need to study it, to read about it, to learn, teach. Do math, learn psychics and manage to live your life at the same time. How many people have that chance? Little. A very small number of ppl have that chance, beacouse life is hard.

Not everybody can have time to study about universe, and superstring theory. But lot's of people who don't have time to study about it, sometimes really like to read a good book or watch a good movie that puts, and mixes ideas in fun 2 hour ride. If you have time to learn and improve that knowledge then you are going to be massively appreciated by many people. You will help them, in a way that it's hard to imagine. Even visions, and wrong perceptions of everything can set off people. And that is all done by You

Everyone of us is a universe for billions of bacteria, viruses, single cell organisms etc. And what's happening in our minds is beyond the perspective of any living beeing. I watched this movie, Waking Life in which they mentioned, that independent researchers were testing users on how do they solve crossword puzzles. They usualy gave them latest issues of some world magazines, but now and then without them knowing they would give them a day old crosswords that millions of people have solved just the day before. Their scores went up by 20%. Of course that is just a movie, and i'm not sure how true it is, but it certanley set me off.

hehe These words how everything is about us are just teh thing which in fact prevented us from reasoning more about universe it is kinda producing dogma that human beings cannot get this or understand or that we are limited by our short and brief existence in the universe and that we are really not affecting it. This may be the biggest thing that we cannot affect it almost in any way.

It is similar to the catholic church dogma about earth being in the centre of the universe it is just egocentric. We are just dot we cannot be compared with the hugeness of the universe and if we still keep thinking how we are in the center of it we wont see progress. That is why people burned scientist for stating that earth is third insignficant planet in our solar system. And that GOD did not give us better meaning.

We should be over such thinkings and we should keep going on and keep researching and finding out more facts and certainties about universe. Whatever we do we cannot affect "our" universe. We can affect this dot we are sitting on and no more not at the time being. That is why I am saying that we have to stop such egocentric points of view and start reasoning process even though if we couldn't find solution right away and we might spend years oin research but we have to try and keep going then we can really find the reason for our small existence.

We will most likely never find the reason of our existence in this lifetime. I'm not talking about our 70 or so years specifically, but the lifetime that we all have on Earth. Maybe after death we will find out? Though I kind of think there is no reason to life.

Seen the news lately? Scientists have found a planet around a distant star that is set up perfectly to have water on it. Water supports life. Water has to be present for life to exist. - From what we know anyways. Though this planet could hold water and not life... who knows?

By the way we can tell that a distant speck in the night sky is a star because of the light it emits. From the light we can decipher what elements the light is fueled by and etc. Astronomy is a fun class.

I hate to say but I think you are wrong as we can deduce by the method you explained just which elements are present in the star and trough which elements did light passed.

And as far as I know we don't have way to find which elements are on certain planet and especially that distant. And furthermore we are not even certain if europe has water I am reffering to that satellite.

And water is needed for life but only life in this form we know and if there is life in the universe then for certain there had been some other forms of life and not similar to ours.

Nobody will ever know when the dimensions stop, there are infinite dimensions possible, we are just imagining a few. Trying to travel to and from universes will be virtually impossible, unless you can build some kind of space craft that can travel through the void. To make void travel possible the ship will have to have an atomic mass of 0 for it to survive entering into the void.

I wouldn't really agree what if our society that is human specie it self is working out some way to imporve itself or even to increase itself or to develop on the natural basis and that so our minds are more developed and so on that our brains develop in such way that we might see or even experience new dimension in this way we would be able to work out something with these relations.

i think that the theory is quite coool, interesting and researchable..that is what i feel because it makes a lot of sense... i think it is just one more, easier one though, way of telling the theory of relativity....since everything is relative you cannot say that this is big and this is small....and then when you start looking at things like proposed in the given theory it makes a lot of sense...seriously...if i were a Phd Physics student then i would have given it a shot... a serious shot...
maybe what if we are sort of a molecule in another bigger world of bigger people...or maybe there is another world of bacterias or viruses or things like that which are smaller than even quarks which we are not able to see through today's microscopes....so if keeping this theory in mind we start wandering our mind in the direction of microscopes, that is the smallest, and telescopes, that is the farthest, then we have many opportunities....i may feel like not making sense right now but i am not able to express myself correctly right now...that is it....

still lovely theory....i would like to see some more replies on this topic...

Yeah I've heard about this theory before (in my physics class actually) and the teacher tried to explain in to us but we all got perplexed, the teacher himself actually did as well. I think understanding such concepts is beyond our mind abilities and only a few people (like Einstein for example) can actually comprehend and visualize such concept.
Ok now these dimensions are all limited inside what we call "the universe" which is a huge being that consists of particles. But what about the "void" where no particles are there? So taking in to consideration the the idea of this topic, when you zoom out and keep on zooming out, eventually you'll have to be standing in the "void".
Now, take a point in space... a point has no dimensions right? but take another point at a distance from the first one, you'll have a straight line of the 1st dimension. now take another point in the same plane of the first 2 points, we'll have a triangle of 2 dimensions. now take another point outside that plane and we'll get a tetrahedron of 3 dimensions... so basically WE ARE CREATING DIMENSIONS! Dimensions are relative, they don't really exist but we make them there.
