Introduction:I have always had a theory on what is outside the universe where we have never been and telescopes cannot see. I actually saw a variation of this in the beginning intro to a Simpsons episode where they zoomed out until you could see all of the galaxies and then kept zooming out until there were lots of galaxies and that turned into molecules which turned back into Homers forhead where at that point he says "woahhhh" in a stupid sort of way which makes me laugh. My Theory:We don't know whats smaller than a quork (think i spelled that wrong) and we do not know whats larger than a galaxy. So my theory is that if we zoom out passed all of the galaxies the galaxies become the next smallest thing to quorks which as you continue to zoom out you see molecules and so on until it forms a shape which could be anything since everything is made of atoms (except light... and energy..). This works the same way vice versa where if you zoom in you start seeing things that resemble galaxies if you zoom in and eventually you start seeing universes and more detailed things such as other worlds. If you didn't understand this brief explanation of the universe don't feel stupid because this is one of the hardest things to explain and this is just my theory which could be completely wrong but since we don't know all we can read about is the theories.

Interesting theory. Although you lack some of the latest psychics information regarding the creation of the universe. First quarks are not considered smallest particles that create whole universe anymore. Quarks are made from Quantum theories and are small particles which make protons, or neutrons, which then make atoms, which form molecules which form matter in 4 known forms to man. Liquid, Solid, "Boiling", and Plasma state. Your theory is interesting beacouse of how you feel that universe acts, i mean how you see other dimensions of space and time. The latest theory of unification called Superstring Theory proves that there are no only 4 dimensions in which we live in but rather there are 11 dimensions (there is a posibility that there is even more, but i didn't get to that part yet). So you see we are living in 11dimensional universe, although we are only aware of 4 dimensions. 3 dimensions of space, and 1 dimension of time. Trying to visualize 10 dimensions of space is really hard, and maybe only few ppl in the whole world can do it, so most of the people have free mind when they want to visualize other dimensions. Also one more thing that this new theory says that it is quite possible that after Big Bang this wasn't the only universe created, and possibly there were many other universes created also. Just it is beyond our near minded perceptivnes to visualize those universes. One of those visions homer simpson had that day, and you liked it a lot. I saw that same thing and i liked it too. But you can say also that maybe there is more to it, other than going really small, then really big and then getting back to really small. Although i find that idea very attractive.

I could say its plausible that there’s something larger then a galaxy, interesting that you bring it though I read article (NASA website I think) they found this energy source that is very powerful and emits this green glow when bursts, however it went on to say that this energy is so far out their they couldn't get a exact distance from it. So it is possible that there could be something larger then a galaxy since their is a energy source great then a supernova (I believe is what they said). However since we do not know how big the whole universe is, we may never know. We have found other planets that are bigger then Jupiter and stars bigger then our own sun and recently they found planets that could have water on them. But since a light year is about 6 trillion miles, we may never know until someone can crack the light speed barrier. Right now I believe the fastest rocket/shuttle can go about 17,500 MPH so if we do the math it would take about 3,913 years to travel 1 light year. Well we already know no one can survive that, even if we built a system to put a person's body into a very deep rest and cease all functions of the body and then bring them back. So right now everything thing is science fiction that it could be done. Until the speed barrier is broken and the human body can sustain that kind of speed, would have to be roughly in the 100,000+ area, all we can do is speculate what’s out there and wait for the time for everything to happen. For all we know in 2000 years we could still be where we are now. Of course if we put in the danger factor it makes this even more possible because we have to dodge, comets, meteors, supernova, black holes the works. There is so many unknowns about the universe that we may never know them all. Hopefully we can see a future like Star Trek with space ships that can fly into outer space and what not, but first we have to deal with earth problems and since they will never be resolved outer space is just a dream to us who wish to explore the unknown.

Try to analyze this. Humans : Noobs trying to solve their existence through their basic science based on number of assumptions. Their Science is entirely based on their *OWN* senses. (eyes, nose, ears etc.)
Smallest particle matter : You go on zooming over any particle. You finally land up with Atoms which contain nucleus and electrons revolving around it. You zoom in even further, you find that that the sub-atomic particles can be further classified. You see mesons rotating inside the nucleus and I don't think in present day, Humans have the technology to go past this limit.
Anyways, my point is, you go in deeper inside matter and you see particles getting differentiated into even more fundamental objects.
Lets Zoom Out now : In early days, humans discovered that moon rotates around Earth. Then, Earth around sun with other planets. Then Solar system itself rotating inside the galaxy and the galaxy iteself is also rotating. Even after defining the largest possible body (Universe), they still say its ever expanding, moving and rotating.
I hope, you get what I have to say. Its a never ending loop until you find nothing zooming in further, or you will become infinitesimally small zooming out. I even don't agree with the CONCEPT of life which is defined by Humans saying that it requires X chemicals to be active. When life itself is a mystery beyond science, how can they define it and prove its existence on other planets. Life is something I define as a light which brings life in non-living (defined by us) things. In this case, Life is possible on moon, mars, sun or anything. If I bring every chemical present in a human cell and somehow manage to re-construct it. Where is the guarantee that it will become alive and start growing ? The only thing possible till date is cloning in which, everything starts with a living cell. :-)

Humans are trying to analyze everything beacouse we need to understand. There are ppl that just live life beacouse they feel it's simpler than analyzing it, but on the other side there are ppl that analyze everything. With analyzing by using our senses, and even more important thing is Assumption. Humans sometimes assume that something is something becouse of this and that. They learn ways to test and to prove that assumption. Many scientists have come to their discoveries first by assumption and then by analyzing it and proving themselves that they are right or wrong. If you assume that what you see is what you get (WYSWING ) then you will never question anything and just live by that rules, in dark, or in fear that maybe by trying to figure something out you will get to the answers that could drive you to madness. Maybe one of the best feelings that you can have is when you turn out to be right in your assumption. Let's say you see a girl in a bar and she looks in your way, and smiles to you. You can assume that she likes you, approach her and maybe start a nice chatter discover you just like her so much and she likes you. Get married with her and have children. Of course, you can also assume that like all the time before she is just smiling to someone behind you and never talk to her. Both of those things can be right, but if you never ask you will never know. That is like science, or even religion, and almost everything else in life. I know for myself that i assume too much, and i often end up being wrong in it. But someday i'll assume just right, beacouse i'm assuming that it just has to happen. I'll rather live and be wrong, but live by my feelings, than just say "What's there is there, and i there is no way to change it". That additude is not going to bring anybody anywhere, beacouse we need to take our chance, we need to take a risk and just dig into something to find out the truth behind it. I love psychics and enjoy reading books about it. I also like to assume that there is much much more in life than many people belive, but it is not easy to get it. Learning, reading, practicing and sacrificing to that couse will probably end up with positive result, and if it doesn't at least i'll know, i lived a life that i felt was worth living. Analyze this

Ever seen Men in Black? In it, a universe is contained in a marble that hangs on a cat's collar. In another instance, a door is opened and it turns out to be a small locker in a gigantic-other worldly locker room. So of course, size is relative. What exists past galaxys, if we were to fly past them? Nothing. The Big Bang Theory shows that all matter was once contained in a very dense ball the size of a penpoint. Time passed and it exploded sending out all the matter that now makes up us, the planets, and the stars. The matter is still expanding from that center point, we can see everything on the other side of the universe moving away from us and those on this side moving towards us. In fact, there is a galaxy heading straight for us as we speak, it will envelop us one day.

I think , for all people who want make new things (new Theorie, new Invention...) should know where others scientifique are in ... maybe you are looking for the origine of the atome that maybe don't exist .... have you heard "String theory" , maybe if u google about it you will find it ( official site) this theorie is making us posible to see inside the atome and zoom in the inside ...... The basic idea behind this string theorie is that the constituents of reality are strings of extremely small size (possibly of the order of the Planck length, about 10 -35 m) which vibrate at specific resonant frequencies. Thus, any particle should be thought of as a tiny vibrating object, rather than as a point. This object can vibrate in different modes (just as a guitar string can produce different notes), with every mode appearing as a different particle (electron, photon, etc.). Strings can split and combine, which would appear as particles emitting and absorbing other particles, presumably giving rise to the known interactions between particles. in other why with this theory we can see diference between strings just by the way they vibrate , and we can find the vibration of the graviton string that give the atom it's mass ... this theaory make sense on a lot of things , but the problem is that's need 11 dimontions to be correct (we know just 4) ... the problem is that we cant do experiences to argue this theory , so finelly scientifics found an experience: is to make atoms crash ... the atoms crack.... so if they see a the graviton string disappear(no wieght) they will know that there are others dimontions than 4. but until now no experience can tell us the reallity of these strings.... [note] if this theory is the reallity , we will be able to find a relation between all forces (gravitation ,electromagnetic,Nuclear). http://superstringtheory.com/basics/index.htmlhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/String_theory

Um, but those theories are taken from weird movies that only think about getting viewers. Scientific TV program (like doctor who or stargate) are more reliable sources of theories. Take Doctor who for example, who says that everything is all happening at the same time even though time itself does not exist. every decision we make creates a different parallel universe, so if i were to accidentally type accidentally wrong then that would have created a universe. In between universes is the place called the void. People that program know that void means nothing, so in the void there is 100% vacuum, no particles, no color, no shades so thats why nobody knows what the void looks like. To people we might actually be living on their quark and them living on another specie's quark. We won't know until we can use FTL travel or build quantum network tunnels like the ones from Supreme commander or Stargate

This might be really long discussion and it is lasting for very long time among the best brains we have in XX and XXI century. I really don't know what to think to be exact and I have read several books on the topic but still everything is illusion and imagination we don't have real proof we even know if those particles exist as we are still trying to prove them like Hicks Boson in the CERN International laboratory. However the theory I most found of is theory of super strings which explains universe as several dimensions like time space that x y z coordinate then some dimensions in which are included forces like gravitational and the fact that gravitationl force is so low comes from this that it spreads trough all 12 or so dimensions. And I furthermore assume that space is expanding which we have in fact several proofs like red shift and dark amtter. Hopefully all of you are familiar with these terms. Also I would like to point that in this topic there are in fact two questions one was how do we percive universe itself and the other is how do we or what we assume is after the final border. I cannot offer any logical answer to this question however I think that after the final border is just one more dimension which maybe characterizes the speed and the way of unverse expension. After this border there is another one and so on and so on to infinity however as space is infinite itself. I would say that all those borders are connected and as our dimension that is universe that we percive is only one material others are only made from pure energy that is why there are also connection between our space and those other dimensions which in fact keep this cycle or mechanism alive and those loopholes are black holes which trnasfer our mattery into the energy keeping mechanism working. However and Unfortuantely we might never find exact answer to these two questions which might keep eluding us even further.

I once came across, in this board, a topic about visualizing the tenth dimension. Well, I rummaged in my HD and found a link. It's a very lovely site, in that it was pleasing to the eye. Might I also add that it was very helpful in actually visualizing the tenth dimension. (Click the helix on the right to "visualize" it) No, my mind can only suspend its disbelief for so long I can only grasp up to the 7th dimension. Basically, when I read the posts, however, it does seem like the universe is/was being viewed as some sort of "fractal", which can be zoomed on infinitely. However, if we equate one end (the large universe) to the other (the quarks, or whichever is the smallest particle), we'd have a universe that can be shattered from within. Like, if you happen to focus a lot of lasers unto that particle, you could probably end up heating the universe. The heating universe, on the other hand, could then heat itself up and the universe could go on a rampage, heating itself infinitely. In other words, a universe whose entirety can be affected from within, is teetering on a very unstable tightrope. It can only accept so much stimuli until a critical "mass" or "level" triggers a runaway reaction like heating up, cooling down, exploding, green jell-o infestation and the like. (FYI, I also imagined a fractal universe, only, the entire thing was submerged in a beaker of "something" somewhere) I guess, more than anything, I don't want to be part of a Homer Simpson. On a side note, I once saw a poster showing the back of Homer's head with the words, "Intel Inside"

WOW I love this topic and discussion...everyone has put through some really good veiws. Quite a long time ago I did 1st and 2nd year uni studies in Computer science. One subject I studied was called basic maths A. I found it a very difficult subject and I failed and then quite the course. This maths subject was about a form of math the was used to discribe multi-dimensional space, and was called Linear Algebra using Matrices and Vectors. This form of math is nowadays most commonly used to calculate complex math for the reproduction of 3D images on 2D computer screens, like most good games and CAD/CAM/CAE software. The reason I found the subject so difficult was not because I had trouble understanding or visualising 3D, 4D spaces or concepts, but rather that I found it impossible to visualise or understand a level of dimensions up the nth dimension and beyound. And that is the type of calculation it is used for. The lecturer for the subject made this statement in one class "As a pure mathematician I can discribe any three dimensional object using Linear Algrebra". It blew my mind and I said to myself "woahhhh". Since then I have done other uni studies in science and really enjoyed chemistry and physics. In chemistry their are a number of very intimate bonds that exist between components of each of the molecules that make up the "compound" I think that Quantum physics and the string theory together may lead us to understand the delicate balance that exists between "Sub-Quark" (thats my term for it) particles, although I would not be suprised if this relationship is one based on pure energy rather than matter. And I think that is very exciting. I also agree that "Time" is a concept man uses to discribe the rate of change for all things. Everything changes, it helps to realise the rate of change for the object we happen to be studying. Many years ago while scientists where trying to prove their theory of the existance of the Quark, they can to realise an important fact of nature and the nature of the universe. At the time they tried to track the movement of the Quark and predict where and when it would be at a certain place so that they could "Capture" evidence of it's existance. What they discovered was that it was never where they predicted, and infact the harder the tried to find it the more difficult it was to "capture". I think this principle is now well documented. It has also been in at least one of the Stargate episodes I think that once we understand the energy component of matter then we will find a new direction and new technologies for it. Have any of you heard of "The Secret"? It has apparently been used by successful people for centuries, and an explaination is now available on DVD. Basiclly it says that if you truly want something for your future then you should put your dream/desires out to the universe. In reply the universe will put events into play in your life that will lead you to that result sometime in the future, even if you don't realise it is happening. I think our perception has a very big role in what we are able to understand. If we try to learn something new we need to take on a new perception of things. Any new discovery demands this. Success in most things requires 2 basic things of us, burning desire and persistance. I had an experience a few years ago that supported my belief that we exist here in a part of space that is multi dimensional. It is always easy to think of the multi dimensional space being out there somewhere, out in space. But if that principle exists out there, then it also exists here too. One night I woke from a restful sleep to hear the sound of shuffling feet, it was a warm night and I was sleeping on the sofa bed. When I sat up to try to find the source of the noise I saw three(3) opaque ghostly human type figures wondering through my house! They disappeared like wispy clouds on a breezy day. And yes, I may have been still dreaming, but thats what I saw. If we are to travel from one place in the universe to another place many light years away, then clearly we have to find a way to take time out of the equation. Folding space is not a new concept but maybe there is another way. And if humans are to travel in this way then clearly we need to take acceleration out of the equation also, at least the the duration of the journey in this way. No-one could survive that type of acceleration and deceleration. Maybe de-materialisation and re-intergration will be the key to traveling long distances like these, maybe not. But I think projects like the Human Genome project, Dark Matter project (underground test facility), Quantum Theory and String Theory will all play a major roll in unfolding the secrets we will need to enter the next leap in Human discovery. Love your work

For example, Star Trek bases itself on many scientific theories, but it itself comes into fallacies. Transporters cannot exist because of Heisenburg's Theory of Uncertainty. The "Warp bubble" that allows the Enterprise to travel past the speed of light would require more energy to maintain than the output we could get from contained antimatter-matter reactions that occur in the Warp nacelles, and this was probably the most plausible scientific theory from any TV show for interstellar travel that has been in part actually explained, next to the wormhole. Alternate dimensions/universes have never been proven to exist. Physics allows for them to exist but they have never been proven to exist, and we don't have a theory of Quantum Gravity yet so we don't really know if black holes could transport us to these dimensions spaghettified.

Yeah I've heard about this theory before (in my physics class actually) and the teacher tried to explain in to us but we all got perplexed, the teacher himself actually did as well. I think understanding such concepts is beyond our mind abilities and only a few people (like Einstein for example) can actually comprehend and visualize such concept. Ok now these dimensions are all limited inside what we call "the universe" which is a huge being that consists of particles. But what about the "void" where no particles are there? So taking in to consideration the the idea of this topic, when you zoom out and keep on zooming out, eventually you'll have to be standing in the "void". Now, take a point in space... a point has no dimensions right? but take another point at a distance from the first one, you'll have a straight line of the 1st dimension. now take another point in the same plane of the first 2 points, we'll have a triangle of 2 dimensions. now take another point outside that plane and we'll get a tetrahedron of 3 dimensions... so basically WE ARE CREATING DIMENSIONS! Dimensions are relative, they don't really exist but we make them there.
