Well last night I got a email from my favorite email provider, yahoo, and said yahoo 9.0 is out with a semi new look. However, thats where my problem begins in which I spent about an hour total with the yahoo crew trying to figure out why this problem is happening and using different trouble shooting idea's. It is also to note that this is my first beta software period that I have actually had a problem, so now my infamous record is tarnish with this little bug. --Issue--During the second part of installation at around 35-38% I a get a 404 error I click abort and it tell me that ytb_inst.exe cannot open. Ok so I abort the installation because at the time messenger is install; however, part two of the problem comes into play and that is it disables the password function on the login screen, knowing well enough my password works because how I 100% memorized it. --Troubleshooting idea's to do--uninstall yahoo messenger and then reinstall it-Error still uninstall delete yahoo folder and then reinstall-error still uninstall yahoo download link provided buy yahoo (mind you its the same link I been using already)-error still uninstall yahoo install yahoo 8.1 (stable version) then install 9.0 to override old version- Error still --Conclusion--Installer is corrupted and yet somehow I am the only with this problem, mind you I tried this on two different computers and have reverted back to 8.1 which luckily enough still works. --Challenge--I will provide the download to 9.0 and see if anyone else gets this error, if so make sure to report it or the next stable version will still have this problem. If successful let us know in this topic and see what is different mind you I tried this on XP and Vista and the error shows up. --Download link--http://beta.messenger.yahoo.com/--Support--http://feedback.islanddata.com/IRTWEB/Feed...p;source=public--UPDATE #1--Ok after reinstalling 8.1 I came up with the same error and it has to do with the toolbar that yahoo provides for the browsers, so all I did was not select the toolbar for installation I didn't get the error, however, now it seems that the password function is a problem within itself. So if anyways can get the password function to work let us know. --UPDATE #2--It seems I have found another problem with 9.0 and that has to do with ysp_inst.exe, which is the program for the search protection tool, whatever that is. I notice that error when I had 8.1 installed and did not select the toolbar to be installed with 9.0, of course for this error to be fixed I had to delete the yahoo folder and then the error disappeared. However, the password problem still remains a mystery so hopefully this news will help figure out what could be wrong with the password problem.

Wow I can't believe it has been 5 months since I posted this topic, and I can now say I can actually get yahoo messenger 9 to work on my computer. Since it seems they were able to figure out why it would allow my password for some reason, and if I remember my version numbers right that was yahoo 9.0.0.1, and this one is 9.0.0.922, and so if you haven't thought about trying out the new yahoo for either XP or Vista you hsould as the vista one is pretty good, FYI need to have vista running in order to use the vista version of yahoo messenger.

(5) im not really sure why this is happeneing. Firstly, let me explain how this is all set up I have a

Computer Problems

Dsl Problems
in relation to processes running (15) so we've just had dsl connected a few days ago. i'm currently enjoying the fast connection
and i have downloaded large files that i couldn't download using dial-up. but i noticed that
whenever i turn on the router, other programs end up running slower. one very obvious observation
was windows media player. i'm a music lover and i turn on wmp everytime i work on this pc. but
whenever i turn on the router so i could connect using dsl, the sound become choppy and plays slow.
at first i thought it was just about the "processes running" and the "cpu usage" sin....
Typos: Do You Have Problems With Them?
I make lts of typos (18) Ok, I'll type this topic really really slow, so i dont make any typos. Yep..If you go through
all my history of posts and topics you will find at least 10 typos in a single post. ANd if you went
to an extenct to look at my website, well you'll be on it for a long time counting how many
typos i have made. I type really fast, and i do mean fast. When i do it in word, i just run the
spell check and BAM its all fixed. But when i do it in other programs which dosent have Spell Check,

Messenger Service Message Virus
(28) i've uploaded these images for you to see. these warnings keep popping up on my window whenever
i'm surfing the net. i've observed that it pops up everytime a website/webpage sucessfully
loads. i dunno if it's a virus or an adware or something. the messages don't seem to make

Problems After Installing Video Card
(5) A few days ago, I installed a new video card. I went from the original intel chipset to a geforce
6200. After I installed the card, all of my games worked great and everything was going good. But I
am not able to view any videos in windows media player. If I try to run a video, my computer starts
to run VERY slow and eventually freezes so I am forced to restart. I uninstalled and reinstalled the
drivers but that didnt help. Any ideas on what could be wrong?....
New Computer
Problems (14) I have recently received my new computer hardware and at first I couldn't get anything to run so
I went out to best buy and I purchased a 500 watt pus and everything would turn on BUT when I turn

Problems After Restoring
Can't Connect Wireless (5) I have 2 computers, 1 PC and one Laptop. Before I had the laptop I got SBC yahoo DSL for my PC and
it worked fine. Then when I got my laptop I bought a router so that I can use my sbc yahoo dsl on

connection I think and you find your router and connect to it. Recently I got lots of spyware on my

Problems With Blue Screen After Loading..
HELP!!!! (14) ok, so i'm a new member here..and this site seems like it can help me... i've been having
major issues with this maxtor 80hdd that i'm using..one day i turned my computer on..when the

Computer Problems - Hanging/crashing
PC Randomly Crashes And Hangs, Ideas? (16) I recently got a new computer, a NEC i-Select D5410. A few days ago it started to randomly crash,
and all inputs and outputs were cut. The monitor displayed "No Signal", the keyboard and mouse
stopped working and the speakers cut out, yet the power light remained on, and the fans were still
spinning. Opening the DVD and CD drive still worked, so it isn't a power or mobo failure, as far
as I am aware. In an attempt to remedy the problem I have moved the computer into a more open area

Hmm I am wondering if something is possi (13) Ok well yesterday I dled an apparently important windows security update. After it downloaded my
screen changed it's size and level. It went from a 1028 by 800 or whatever that regular 17 inch
size is to 640 by 880 and it had changed to medium 12 bit. I don't know why. So I turned my

something in my system32 file was either gone or corrupted and that I had to reboot my entire

(6) I just built my own computer... It works fine, but there's a problem with the internet
connection... The internet is very slow when 2 or 3 computers are connected to the internet,
especially when a onlinegame is running on an other computer. But when I try to play games online
on the new computer, the ping is normal, but I'm getting flood kicked. The problem doesn't
appear on the other computer in the wireless network here. Can someone help me?....
