Yahoo Expanding Mailbox!

In the may Yahoo is expanding mailbox to 1GB. What do you think about that and are ex-yahoo users going back to yahoo?
They have so many users, if they are giving 1GB to everybody, how big their servers are???

I've been with Yahoo! ever since they offered 6 MB inboxes which was "More than double what other mail providers offer!" So yes, I'll stay with Yahoo! even though I have about 50 gmail accounts.

Hi furious1,
thanks for the heads up. The last 2 times Yahoo has "upgraded" their storage MBs, they've screwed up some basic components of the service (eg. attachments, web browser settings etc.). THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT TRIED TO LAY THE BLAME OFF ON THE SUBSCRIBERS, INCLUDING ME. Strike three & their out with me. Anybody else have the same/ similar results with Yahoo???

Yeah, it is now competing fiercely. But still those who have used gmail and given out their ids might not go back. Also many have got ids that would not have been available on yahoo.

Though I have both yahoo and gmail ids, but have not had ny problems with either. Also I use yahoo more for its messenger feature, hope google comes out with something similar soon.

Also heard that yahoo is planning to integrate some other services too apart from phots, geocities, groups, messenger etc...

All this competition would ultimately benefit the users...

Yes, I saw the info. when I checked my mail this morning. I think Yahoo doesn't want to lack behind others and wanted to remain at top when it comes to email. Hotmail sucks... they haven't tried to increased even to 250MB for many countries.

I would be still happy with 250MB of Yahoo! mail even if they don't increase the space to 1GB. Lately they have included features like auto-inputting of email addresses in compose page just at writing of one letter all the possible email addresses appear starting with the letter which is nothing but Gmails revolutionize idea.

My ISP (Rogers) have a deal with Yahoo right now, my yahoo email storage is now 2GB. :/
