Hey. Recently, I had noticed that the forum that my site uses has ceased to work. We used a phpBB board, because we preferred the setup and styles that it offered. I did not host it myself to make sure that I did not have extra and unnecessary bandwidth or disk space usage; we used the host www.FreeBB.com (a site suggested at the www.phpBB.com website). Well as it turns out, not only is our forum down, but it also appears that the www.FreeBB.com site is also shut down. I would reallly like to continue using a phpBB forum without having it hosted using my space so I was wondering if anyone knew what happened to www.FreeBB.com and perhaps an alternative option that I could use. I greatly appreciate your help.

Well their could be a million reasons why but most of them are gone due to the fact their not a reason posted on the website why it's down. So most likly a legal issue or they ran out of money. But other then that couldn't Tell you.

Yep, it looks that freebb.com is down...
I don't know if you tried before, but www.myfreebb.com is a very good alternative. They offer quality service but I think they will put some google ads. Anyways, if you prefer that somebody else host your forum, you should check it out.

In the past, I have had a forum hosted free at www.forummates.com which has since been replaced by a phpbb hosted on my account here at the trap. Only reason I left was because the trap forum allows me to do backups. Otherwise the forum would still be at forummates.
