yeah a few people mentioned it, looks like the change the look of the website as well.
microsoft isonly doing this to attempt to compete with google and thats about it.
Well...On sites they are saying that there is a WAR started between IM's....
Yahoo , AIM and MSN are trying to compete everyone...and may be some one has noticed that an year ago or bit before , they never has a new version every second day...but now , they are racing there versions...Every second day you get a message that you have to install new version... And other different thing for Live messenger is that we can not sign in that messenger with the current msn email...If you are keen to use it , you just go to their site and they will ask ur msn email , and will say that you should wait ,may be yo will be lucky enough to get invitation to use Messenger..i think its kinda stupid...and now every second site is doing invitation thing for their users to reach to them...copying google i think...or whatever..
And I think Live.com is pretty CooL!
What a suprise! To view anything more than just a search bar you have to use Internet Explorer
As far as I can teel Windows Live (In its current far from finished form) is just a rebrand of the old My MSN, its a far cry from the revolutionary new tools microsoft promised and In my opinion not as good as say the Google Homepage (which you can try out at google.com/ig , if you haven't already). The biggest change I saw was they made it look abit better, I do have to say however that the new Windows Live mail does look quite sweet, not better than Gmail though. Also I tried the virus scan thingy the other day it was ok, haven't had time to check it with AVG to see if it missed anything though. But currently I have to say that Windows Live is along way from achieving anything remotely groundbreaking.
Although MSN is my favorite out of the more popular messengers (YIM, AIM, MSN, ICQ, etc.), due to both it's simplicity and it's functionality, I probably will NOT be using this new "Live" messenger. Although I use an MSN messenger account, I'm strictly Trillian (or maybe even gAIM) when it comes to the messenger program itself. For one thing, there aren't all those annoying ads/popups/banners/etc., and then I can access all my messenger functions in one program, if I wish to (although I'm currently only using MSN).
this Windows live program looks good. Maybe once the final version is out, then they won't force you to use that email address? It's just gonna overwrite the current msn messenger version?
Anyhow, when It's out, I'm all up for trying it. It's always nice to stay modern
