Hi! On the trap17 homepage there is a list with services possible on user websites. There are
mentioned as points 18 and 19 the usage of Tomcat and JSP. Now, I've set up a free webpage and
tried to make a jsp-page. But unfortunately it doesn't work when I copy the file to the
www-directory. What do I have to do to get jsp scripts running? Greets, Chris...

Hi all, I just started working with JSP and never really used basic servlets before. my problem is
currently how to deploy a simple webapp? Some people include servlets, others use beans, (or taglib
which looks kind of the same to me). I started with compiling java classes and including them
(which did work, untill some point where I started working with sessions and stuff...).. Whats best
to use? and when? Is it okay to use em all together? And does anyone has a good referencce......

Do anybody have an idea of how to enable or get access to use Java in trap17 host? Is there any
resources around? Please, share the info if you r already using Java on your trap17 site or know

It seems trap17 is using apache 1.3.x + tomcat 5.0.x + mod_jk 1.2.x for jsp solutions. Jsp access
go to apache first, then go to tomcat through connector mod_jk. The problem is the jsp file should
be put under the webapps folder under tomcat . But trap17 only provide the ftp access to apache web
folders. So how is it possible to run a jsp web site. I would like to know anyone of you has
hosting Jsp successfully. If yes, can you tell us how do you make it. Thanks....

OpaQue, where did you get that JavaScript for the error 404 page for Trap17? It's something
I've looked for for a long time! I 've tried before, but couldn't achieve the typing
effect with JavaScript. I'd be very happy if you could tell me where you got it. /wink.gif'
