| | I would suggets you to go for XOOPS. It's a very flexible CMS and very easy to use. It's also very popular on the internet. You can find it at www.XOOPS.org There is a very huge community to help you out. I have been using it for past three years now and It has evolved so much.
And regarding PHPBB. I'll say that it's the best forum script
And for wordpress you just can't integrate it with Joomla as it is by just giving a link. |

Well, it really depends on what you want to use it on. DokuWiki is good for small time developers. PostNuke is good for clans. Siteframe is good for blogs and community based sites. Drupal is a little better with some communities. Coranto is good for sites that just need news updated frequently, without extreme bloat. However, there are bad content management systems. Joomla is rather bloated, with a poor interface, and an even worse templating system. I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone. Siteframe can do what Joomla can with half the bloat and twice the performance. Joomla is suberior to any given content management system, I believe. phpBB is even worse for forum environments - it can't contain spambots, its CP is out of date, trying to remove multiple users is like pulling teeth even with a mod, and there isn't even a decent moderator CP. SMF is much better at what phpBB does.

For me, its Subdreamer. It costs a bit of money, which sucks, but It comes with heaps of different skins and plug-ins you can use, so its really customizable. The main reason i use it though is because it integrates with IPB, which is the software im using for my forum. It can integrate with the other popular forum software too, so you can log in with your forums username and password, which is really convenient. Here is the link: http://www.subdreamer.com/

I think Joomla (www.joomla.org) is the best CMS. It is very easy to use. You do not need any knowledge of php, html or whatever (although it will help if you did a bit). There are thousands of cool mods, themes, components e.t.c. If you're thinking of making a content site, but don't know any knowledge of php or any other internet language. Go For Joomla.

Xml For Dynamic Website Content
(3) Anyone got a site where they're using XML to generate dynamic content? I'm thinking of
using XML for several elements of the website for my workplace, partially because I can easily
generate XML through a simple VBA interface far easier than XHTML (since I'm only considering
the content), so that I can set up easy ways of changing that content for the completely computer
illiterate people I work with. Also, I'm doing an XML course later, so I want ot get some

Whats Important To You When Designing Your Web?
(29) I was just wondering what everyone else thinks is important when they design their website?
Personally i like simple, easy to read websites with minimal actual graphics. Most of the websites i

least i try to make it that way /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0"

Firefox Explodes When I Put Height To 100%
What's up with that? (3) CODE Okay, this is the very basic design of my site, I've
taken all the content out. Also- if it is my fault when it comes to coding, cut me slack; I
haven't been using HTML for about a year. So here's the problem: When I put this code up,
it works perfectly in IE 7 (Weirdly). I've set the page to have no margins, so all the tables
touch the page borders. However; in firefox a white space is left underneath the table that
stretches the page. Check out the site here: MA PAGE Please help me find the problem as I would ....

Which Forum Software Should I Use?
Please suggest me some scripts (28) OK, here is my predicament, I know I've posted this before, but... This time I have tried both
forums... I am trying to decide between IPB and phpBB. Here is what I want for my forum from each
software... I like the ease of use, and simplistic design of phpBB. I like the many feature of IPB,
such as changing rankm colors, and the rank masking system for forum permissions. I also want three
of the mods I currently have on my forums, the Army System, IBPro Arcade, and D2-Shoutbox, I know
phpBB has an Arcade mod, and a Shoutbox, but frankly they both need some work ....

Search In Website
What's the best way? (4) Ok so I'm trying to integrate a website-wide search engine into my site, and rather than going
through the million different options, I figured the best feedback I can get would be from actual
people who have previously done this. What's the best option, and/or is there a recommended

continually growing and expanding, with new pages added at least weekly, if not daily. Plus current
pages will be updated on a weekly basis. Any thoughts? Thanks!....

Get more control over your content (6) I recently discovered this amazing (in my opinion) program, which is a great way to build your site!
When I first "got into" website creating I thought that Content Management Systems were the best
thing ever. However I soon discovered that they are for the most part not very flexible. You are
limited to the things you are able/unable to do. Plus its not "your own". I don't know about you

frustrated, I knew basic HTML and PHP but not enough to make a site from scratch,....

Free Affiliate Management Software?

Do You Need A Content Management System?
Then Read This... (20) ODOMIKE If HTML isn't your thing and you're planning a website with lots of content, you
might want to consider using a "Content Management System," also known as CMS. With CMS, content is
stored in a database away from the site's templates, which makes it impossible to destroy the
design structure of the site when editing. CMS systems allow anyone to edit his or her website,
regardless of technical skill level. Pages can be added or changed easily without knowing any
intricate coding. Many websites that use CMS resemble a portal design. This type of sy....
