What would i do without the internet? First obvious answer is get a better life, but lets go further into this though. I am the drummer for a band, and we practice at my house. So the guitar players, bass player, and singer are on the computer atleast one during the practice. So it would be hard for them to find what ever info they needed. Actualy i see that as the bigest loss if i didnt have internet. The rest would be gains actualy... we're so pitiful arent we.

I would be most likely drawing or playing offline games...alot of offline games. Anyway, I don't want to think about that because I would go crazy because alot of my friends I only talk to online and I would go crazy when I'm at work...now that I think I don't even know my work would exist.

Without internet or a pc i think people would hang out more.. and i think that's better for the safety-feeling. I mean now you don't know who on the street.. so you feel unsafe, danger is out there. But when you hang around and all.. you know who's on the street, it's you or your kid... no stranger..

The question needs to be taken in a much more bigger sense. Replace the you with - the world. Can you imagine life without the internet. Life without email, online banking, online shopping, online bill pay - think of all the conveniences you are going to lose. It is similar to another rhetorical question - what would you do if there were no motor vehicles. We are going back to walking - thats it. If there is no internet, we are going back to the 80s. Thats it.

All the adults such as my parents and people who are more... ancient than us would love to see the internet disapeer, excvept for my grandma and grandad... wow they are stuck, there is this girl who couldnt write or read handwriting, everything had to be done on computer for her, she knew how to create proffessional websites and she was 5, her parents had taught her from an early age... i am sorry for her. And me without the internet, well i wouldnt be bored because I wouldnt know i was missing out on anything, I would prolly be playing games on a CD, I only play internet games tho, coz computers to slow to run sims and stuff, I needa get more ram, only 32mb.. O well, I love the internet, and i dont spend all night and all day on it, but it is a very good resource

Rich Internet Application - Who Is Going To Win The Race?
(7) Last couple of months we can see the competition between 3 major Companies Adobe, Sun and Microsoft.
Everyone wants to win the race. They introduced 3 products to develop RIA (Rich Internet
Application). Flex - Adobe. Silverlight - Microsoft JavaFX - Sun Flex is already in Production,
they have released Flex 3.0 beta. Flex SDK is open source and Blaze Data Services (part of Flex
needed for Server side Programming) is open source. but Flex IDE and LifeCycle (Super Set of

Is It Possible To Destroy The Internet?
(99) I have always wondered if it is impossible to destroy the internet all together... is this even
possible? If it is possible to destroy the internet what would you have to do? Would you have to
destroy all the Internet companys like comcast and aol? Or would that not even take care of it?
Just think, if someone took down the entire internet not only would our lives be boring but it would
basically destroy the U.S. & other big countries all at once.....

Skype Rule
Talk for free on the internet (7) This has been available for a while, but I only recently. This is a Voice over IP program that
allows you to talk to anyone on the internet anywhere provided they have the same program. The
software is free. The real amazing thing is the new feature you can now have real phone number. That
means someone can call you from a normal landline and you can call other landline numbers. They have
also just added the live video software also for free, so if you have a web cam you can see the
other person. I know, I know it is not all that new, but this is the first software that ....

Broadband In Gas
Carrying internet over gas pipelines (5) I recently read about a company called Nethercomm that is promoting a broadband in gas technology.
Apparently, this company has some patents pending on devices that can be installed in gas pipelines
that go to commercial and residential buildings to provide the "last mile" connection for broadband.
It appears the technology is based on radio frequencies propogated down the gas pipe as a wave
guide. Nethercomm boasts data rates up to 40 Mbps are possible to the home. Anyone know of any
actual implementation/trials of this technology going on presently?....
Internet Telephony - Any Experiences?
(10) I was wondering if anybody had any experience with internet telephony or voIP. I've tried Skype
with mixed results, and recently read an article about a number of fairly large companies who have
adopted it as a money saving venture. In the UK BT announced yesterday a new phone service whereby
when you take your phone outside your home it uses the Vodafone network, and when you use it at home
it automatically uses voIP over bradband. Sounds interesting.......

Internet Explorer.... With Tabs!
(22) Yes, it’s finally true. Stuck on like a big band aid, courtesy of MSN Toolbar 1.2, we have IE with
tabs. Well ahead of the release of Internet Explorer 7, Microsoft has done what they just absolutely
needed to do, and have provided tabbed browsing for Internet Explorer. Things are fairly undeveloped
at this stage, but reports talk about it running fast and supporting most features you'd want.
"It's a more powerful functionality in a pretty robust tool offering, which already has a
number of differentiators with form fill and the access to MSN services in the t....

it clears out all your internet activity, e.g. sites visited, temporary files, etc... then when it

active program. This will prevent someone else using your computer to find out what site's you

Microsoft Confirmed IE7 Compatible with XP and newer
Internet Explorer 7 only for XP (26) Micrsoft confirmed what we've already expected. The new-coming explorer IE 7 will only be
compatible with windows XP and newer. The two reasons why old dinosaurs that still use Windows 2000
and lower won't be able to use the new IE are: 1. state in which is the extended support of
Windows 2000 and 2. mostly of technical nature (IE 7 is goin to have a few security updates and
imporvements, which bases on the functionality of the new XP SP2 and this is the reason for its
incompatibility with other versions of Windows) Source: Slashdot ....
Voip(voice Over Internet Protocol)
real money saver (16) VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is the communication technology of the future for sure. Legacy
technology carries voice signals over analog circuits and lines. Voice over IP converts the analog
signal to digital and transports the signal to the receiver where it is converted back from digital
to analog and the receiver hears the sender's voice. This provides a more efficient and
economical means of communication. I have know VOIP for quite a some time since i started online.
Most of the time i use msn messeger or yahoo messeger to chat with my friends. Recently,....
