| | Well, I will do the old routines. Watch T.V, Watch DVD's, use the telephone, go outside to breathe fresh air, then edit/capture videos from my video cam using my computer. Well, before probably many years ago when my computer is Windows 98 and without internet, life is really boring. And my computer is boring too... Nothing is new with my computer. But after I had the internet, it changed alot. |

My life would have no meaning.
But seriously, I would probably be able to play my games more on the PS2 and Xbox and I would probably watch T.V (which I bever do). The internet is my life, it facinates me. I find it amazing and I love being on my PC, it is my best friend.

If there were no internet, I'd be some kind of spory-active-happy-smart people which I do not EVER want to be. If I lose the internet and never ever get it back, I'd kill myself because there'd be no more point in life for me. Besides the violin... but the computer is more important to me!!! I'll no longer have my wish to ever make a professional profit making site!! NO!!!! Don't leave me internet!!! oh, this is an awesome topic btw!!

I would probably go insane. o.o I would actually draw more probably and actually DO my school work. I use the internet to talk to my friends since I do homeschooling and dropped all old friends from my old school. So I would most likely go crazy. I'd probably be more active as well.

If there was no internet I would be doing a lot more productive activities like jogging, playing lots of sports and things like that. I try to not spend more than an hour a day on the internet these days or else it just dominates your life way too much. There are 10 000 things better to do other than rotting away with the curtains shut speaking to people you don't even know and who you will probably never speak to again.

I can only imagine what I'd be doing if there was no internet. I'm seeing myself more than likely infront of the television, completely zoned out watching nothing in particular. Mind you, I've only had the internet maybe for five years or so. I can remember, living at my last house, with my sister... all we had was this little old computer. Go Windows 3.1! lol... anyway, we created our own 'internet'. It was complete with informative sites (about board games and things), and news sites (with fictional stories about fictional people lol...) and chat rooms. The sad thing was, that one of us would go on, while the other waited in the next room, and then we'd switch and add things too it. We pretended to be ourselves, random people, famous people... anything and all at the same time. It was really fun. I guess that's what happens when you give two country girls an old computer and they have *nothing* else to do...

Qoodaa Mnp2p Creates A New Epoch Of Internet Transfer
(0) Qoodaa Communications , which has been devoted to developing internet transfers services, innovates
and develops a new P2P technology, called MNP2P for short. It creates a new epoch of internet
transfers acceleration for large files. It is well known that the main downloading accelerative ways
are P2P and CDN. However, the traditional P2P needs multi-users download at the same time to
guarantee its downloading speed. BT is the most classic example of P2P. But CDN can ensure
downloading quality under the circumstance that there are a few downloading users and there is e....
Rich Internet Application - Who Is Going To Win The Race?
(7) Last couple of months we can see the competition between 3 major Companies Adobe, Sun and Microsoft.
Everyone wants to win the race. They introduced 3 products to develop RIA (Rich Internet
Application). Flex - Adobe. Silverlight - Microsoft JavaFX - Sun Flex is already in Production,
they have released Flex 3.0 beta. Flex SDK is open source and Blaze Data Services (part of Flex
needed for Server side Programming) is open source. but Flex IDE and LifeCycle (Super Set of
BlazeDS) is not free. Silverlight and JavaFX is still under alpha release. I believe these three te....
Is It Possible To Destroy The Internet?
(99) I have always wondered if it is impossible to destroy the internet all together... is this even
possible? If it is possible to destroy the internet what would you have to do? Would you have to
destroy all the Internet companys like comcast and aol? Or would that not even take care of it?
Just think, if someone took down the entire internet not only would our lives be boring but it would
basically destroy the U.S. & other big countries all at once.....

Skype Rule
Talk for free on the internet (7) This has been available for a while, but I only recently. This is a Voice over IP program that
allows you to talk to anyone on the internet anywhere provided they have the same program. The
software is free. The real amazing thing is the new feature you can now have real phone number. That
means someone can call you from a normal landline and you can call other landline numbers. They have
also just added the live video software also for free, so if you have a web cam you can see the
other person. I know, I know it is not all that new, but this is the first software that ....

Broadband In Gas
Carrying internet over gas pipelines (5) I recently read about a company called Nethercomm that is promoting a broadband in gas technology.
Apparently, this company has some patents pending on devices that can be installed in gas pipelines
that go to commercial and residential buildings to provide the "last mile" connection for broadband.
It appears the technology is based on radio frequencies propogated down the gas pipe as a wave
guide. Nethercomm boasts data rates up to 40 Mbps are possible to the home. Anyone know of any
actual implementation/trials of this technology going on presently?....
Internet Telephony - Any Experiences?
(10) I was wondering if anybody had any experience with internet telephony or voIP. I've tried Skype
with mixed results, and recently read an article about a number of fairly large companies who have
adopted it as a money saving venture. In the UK BT announced yesterday a new phone service whereby
when you take your phone outside your home it uses the Vodafone network, and when you use it at home
it automatically uses voIP over bradband. Sounds interesting.......

Internet Explorer.... With Tabs!
(22) Yes, it’s finally true. Stuck on like a big band aid, courtesy of MSN Toolbar 1.2, we have IE with
tabs. Well ahead of the release of Internet Explorer 7, Microsoft has done what they just absolutely
needed to do, and have provided tabbed browsing for Internet Explorer. Things are fairly undeveloped
at this stage, but reports talk about it running fast and supporting most features you'd want.
"It's a more powerful functionality in a pretty robust tool offering, which already has a
number of differentiators with form fill and the access to MSN services in the t....

Internet
erase ALL records of internet files (6) You might consider Webroot's Window Washer. It works with IE and AOL. Once you get off the net
it clears out all your internet activity, e.g. sites visited, temporary files, etc... then when it
completes it's 'wash' you just click to 'minimize' it so that it remains as an
active program. This will prevent someone else using your computer to find out what site's you
visited.. You may want to visit; www.webroot.com they have an array of products, and like anything
else everyone has their own opinion as to what works for them. I have Windows W....
Microsoft Confirmed IE7 Compatible with XP and newer
Internet Explorer 7 only for XP (26) Micrsoft confirmed what we've already expected. The new-coming explorer IE 7 will only be
compatible with windows XP and newer. The two reasons why old dinosaurs that still use Windows 2000
and lower won't be able to use the new IE are: 1. state in which is the extended support of
Windows 2000 and 2. mostly of technical nature (IE 7 is goin to have a few security updates and
imporvements, which bases on the functionality of the new XP SP2 and this is the reason for its
incompatibility with other versions of Windows) Source: Slashdot ....
Voip(voice Over Internet Protocol)
real money saver (16) VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is the communication technology of the future for sure. Legacy
technology carries voice signals over analog circuits and lines. Voice over IP converts the analog
signal to digital and transports the signal to the receiver where it is converted back from digital
to analog and the receiver hears the sender's voice. This provides a more efficient and
economical means of communication. I have know VOIP for quite a some time since i started online.
Most of the time i use msn messeger or yahoo messeger to chat with my friends. Recently,....

Satellite Internet Connections
(15) Hi, I was wondering about having an internet service based from a satellite connection. This mostly
comes from this article: http://www.techweb.com/wire/networking/159401477 The service promises

satellites connections (phones) had a large delay due to the range of transmission. Would anyone
recommend this?....
