| | I use Joomla! and GIMPshop to create my web sites. GIMPshop is a very easy to use graphic editor, and Joomla! is a very nice Content Management System. It lets me create my web sites the way that I want them. It has made managing a site a whole lot easier. |

I've used Dreamweaver, Frontpage, Paint Shop Pro 7, Adobe PhotoShop and Notepad before. I mostly use a combination of Frontpage and notepad. I use Frontpage or Dreamweaver to make the "Template" for my layout, make graphics with Paint Shop Pro 7 and Adobe, and then do the error checking for my code with Notepad. I don't advice using Dreamweaver or Frontpage with out knowing some HTML first, because I dislike for the extra code the programs throw in that you don't need. Plus the fact that extra code can screw up your layouts and unless you know HTML it can be impossable to fix.

I use Photoshop to design my site. After I get through with the design I slice it and then save it for the web. I then open it in Dreamweaver 8 to start with the coding. Then when I'm done coding I upload it using SmartFTP and then I'm done. I think Dreamweaver is really the best way to go for coding if you can afford the software. I think it's really helpful overall.

Hmm... well, I personally design the layout in Photoshop first, then slice it in ImageReady before coding it in Dreamweaver. Plus, if I have later changes to do, I simply use Notepad.

If you beleive in 1 hour websites using templates that can be edited and with any kind of content inserted, then webpage maker is super quick, affordable and you don't even need DW/FP, an Ftp prog or any HTML, Javascript knowledge as it inserts it all for you! Of course this takes the fun out of it...maybe!

The basic Notepad can be the only tool you need in coding your website project. It's clean and simple. It depends on you what you want to put in your code and those you don't need won't be in your code unlike when you're using WYSIWYG programs. If you need something with fancier features like drag and drop capabilities and built in javascripts, you can choose to use Macromedia Dreamweaver. As with the graphics for your site, I suggest you use Adobe Photoshop since it is the tool most professionals use. Fireworks is fine as well but then again Photoshop has more features and you can download tons of tutorials for it from the Internet.

Well, in order to understand clearly what are you coding it is to use notepad which consist of plainly the codings... You can basically do anything with codes if you know all the correct codes to put... But for begininer or ppl that is lazy to learn the hard way its better to use GUI program to help you done up your webpages... Personally, I use notepad and photoshop to build my websites... However, I'm still not that good in photoshop yet so I couldnt make any nice layout yet...

Dreamweaver
Dreamweaver's a good Webdesigning Studio (22) I recently downloaded Macromedia's Dreamweaver 8, and I can say that it is the greatest
webdesigner that the world has ever seen! The only problem is that it costs too much money in my
tastes, but otherwise it is perfect! Does anyone know of a webdesigning studio that does not
cost any money and that can be downloaded off the internet? I tried using Notepad++ (search Google,
I cannot recall the site) and it is a coder, but not a webdesign. It doesn't actually show you
what the site will end up looking like, but it shows you colour-coded codes for your sit....
