What browser do you use?

I use IE 6, enhanced from Win XP SP2. I want to see what other people use for browsers, and maybe start a discussion. This place needs more activity... wink.gif

I use OPERA! I think it is indeed the FASTEST Browser on earth! It gives more options and can be configured well to suit your needs. IT has the inner TAB like system which allows to browse many sites at once without cluttering the process bar or the windows bar where the Start Menu Button exits.
Has better options and inbuilt download system which can resume broken downloads.
Internal Autofill and many more..............

you have to pay for it, but IE comes free with windows... Plus, those features can be added with a toolbar, except tabbed browsing, and that isn't to impotant, becuae then it gets put in a group eventualy.

But OPERA is DAMN Fast... I don't How, but it starts rendering the HTML code very fast and starts showing it even if the full page is not yet loaded. Unlike Internet Explorer, In which Some Pages do not load until they have completely downloaded from the Server. There are still many things which this baby has to offer. I Bet, U use it once and you will hate Explorer.

Well, I've always used Internet Explorer because it's always included biggrin.gif I want to try Opera!

I thought it was free, but I guess not. There's a free download though. Is that, like, only a free trial? And should I get the Java or non-Java version?

I used IE 6.0 with Win XP SP2 as well. I am fine with IE but my only concern is the security. I do hate the security flaws in IE.

What was impressive is after opening and closing tabs on both (all afternoon) and ending up closing all but one down, Chrone was slimmed down to 42meg, while Firefox was sat with 110meg. I then closed and re-opened FF and it came back with 48meg, so it does look like Firefox’s memory management is worse than I thought. If browsing is all a user requires from it then I recommend Chrome, simply because it’s faster and handles memory management more efficiently.

Chrome is well positioned to take a sizable chunk of the market. I await to see how much it can. Firefox is it’s immediate competitor, then once that’s been conquered the mighty IE is next, though it stands high and proud on it’s 80% market share, facing a potentially hefty vertical fall from grace.

At the beginning I started with Netscape - it was fairly good but after a while became slow. Then switched to Opera, which is/was very fast, but I couldn't load some pages correctly. Nowadays I used Firefox (with extensions) mostly which is fast working but slow starting. Portable version helped a bit. Chrome seems a promise to me - though first and beta version with some missing functionality, promising...

Well as far as my surfing is concerned. I mainly depends upon firefox. But OPERA is also good as at present I am using OPERA.
Though I think firefox claiming it's fastest or safari claiming it's fastest. Real fact is that all three browsers FIREFOX, OPERA, and SAFARI are good and at the same time are open source too.
