my school uses st. bernard filtering software so it blocks certain sites (forums, xanga, stuff like taht)
they even block anonymizers (proxy servers0
is there another way around this
anyone know of a good non-block proxy server
the internet options is disabled in my account.
What is the best way to get around it? Please help. |

one way to trick web filtering software, especially when you've got access to a php- or perl-capable webserver which you can connect to from behind the filter, is to install a php/perl script on that server which fetches a given URL for you and works kinda like a proxy server, but don't ask me where you can find such a script (google?). In some cases you might have to find some way to encrypt the URL in the adress bar because some filters judge what you may access and what not by scanning the URL for certain keywords. In the end you would either access <yourserver>.com/fetch.php?<URL> or use a form to submit an URL to the script...

The best way to get around St. Bernards is to be using an SSL anonymizer. GUI software to view other's shared files (2) I have been using LAN surfer and Network scanner in Windows , These software's are used
to scan the LAN over a given range of IP addresses and then display the folders shared by each
computer available on LAN in the specified range... now i have switched to Linux... Can you tell me

Can't Login To Any Software On My Site
anyone know how to fix? (3) In a subdomain of my site I have an installation of MediaWiki, and until now it's been working
fine. But today I've been having trouble with it. Previously, whenever I logged into MediaWiki
it worked first time and I would stay logged in for about an hour, even without the "Remember Me"
option checked. But I tried logging in now, and after logging me in, the next page I went to showed
me as "not logged in". I cleared the cache as I know this has been a problem before, and then tried
logging in again, but it still said I was not logged in! So I tried one more ....

Lightweight Free Anti Virus Software?

something similar to the karaoke, I do know that not many songs provide only the tune for which
