SuSE 9.1 Personal is free and they do provide you with an ISO. Live Evaluation is just a Live CD (which is a bootable CD that you don't need to install to run SuSE) 9.2 Evaluation is like 9.1 SuSE but you must have a DVD burner. xboxrulz

I would get SUSE but it is so damn big. Their release is on a DVD and is over 3GB. I'm assuming it is so huge because it includes open office and other software. What distro is nice and small and doesn't really include too much extra fluff?

Ge thas SUSE or Mandrake Official Power Pack, but they are both big. I donćt know that you can handle something else. Suse 9.2 Profesional Mandrake 10.1 Power Pack Official

umm.. I can't understand your printing, popac. Yes, you should get the DVD version. It's not that bad actually, you practically get everything from KDE to GNOME to other free software. SuSE is more sophisticated and has less bugs than Mandrake. xboxrulz

You can do an FTP install, thats most of the time the best option as you don't need to download whatever you don't want to install. Saves a lot of bandwidth.

Suse 10 Special Grub On Install Dvd For Holidays
The above probally makes no sense (0) I booted my computer off of my SUSE 10 install dvd this morning, and the coolest thing happened. The
GRUB background on the disk was of lots of little penguins running around in the snow with santa
hats on. I know it probally sounds like I'm making this up, but try it for yourself. It's
really funny. I think they have it installed to check the BIOS date, and if it's December 25th,
it displays that background. Sorry I can't put a screenshot up, but I'm not in the OS to do
that.....

Anyone Here Try Suse Linux Personal 9.1?
If you havent, your missing out (6) I'm happy. I converted from Mandrake Linux 10.0 to SUSE Linux Personal Edition 9.1. Both this
version of SUSE and Mandrake (both of which are kick-ass distrobutions) can be downloaded at
linuxiso.org SUSE is one hell of a Windows alternative. I've been using Windows since about
1996, and i've been using it litteraly since Windows 3.1. I still remember good ol' DOS. can
