| | I have a Sony DVD RW dual layer(DW-D18a) and I'm trying to make copys of a few of my DVD's. It came with NTI, a burning program, and I have Nero. But every DVD I try to copy (new or old) wont let me, saying that it's copywrite protected, I've also tryed one from downloads.com with the same problem. The reason I bought it was to copy DVD's. Is there anyway around this? |

I use Nero 6 Ultra Edition and Nero Vision Express. If you have a DVD Burner, you should really get Nero Vision, it's great for copying DVDs. I've copied a few of my DVDs, so try that out and see if it works for you.

I use DVD Xcopy Express. It makes an archival backup of the video file for you. in lamens terms it copies the DVD for you but you do not get any menus. When you put the newly Archival Copy in your DVD player it starts the movie. I use it for all my DVD's, I have to backup incase I break or Scratch one. um...i don't know if Nero works with region free. DVDXcopy isn't a bad idea. or you can try DVD decrypter. it has the added benefit of being freeware. i don't think that's illegal to talk about. it's a good program, and if you're after making backup copies of your stuff, that should be fine. i haven't found any program yet that can beat the speed and ease of DVD decrypter. it's convenient as well if your dvd player is region 2 and your dvd is region one, you can change the region on the new dvd.

You can use DVD shrink, you can find the download here. "DVD Shrink is software to backup DVD discs. You can use this software in conjunction with DVD burning software of your choice, to make a backup copy of any DVD video disc." That's what I use and it burns it for you aswell if you want it to. I prefer using Nero to burn though. If you don't want the Hungarian subtitles on your DVD then you can untick the box that says Hungarian subtitles and it won't be on the finalised disc. It's so easy to use.

It's not just a little bit of noise (13) OK ever since i have bought this computer the CD/DVD ROM drive has made so much noise that i wanted

Not Possible Nec 3540 And Sony Cd-rw On Same Ide Channel
Read this please...! (5) Look at this what happend... Yesturday I bought a new HDD Seagate 160GB, and I wanted to put my
optical drives on secoundary IDE channel, and my HDD-s on primary... I did it all, and I turned on
my computer, and then opened bios to see is everything ok, and then ta-da... My CD-RW Sony 52/32/52

Sony Blue-ray Release Date
(6) Well according to geek.com Sony has announced that they will be releasing 8 blue-ray dvds on May
23rd... although not clearly stated I would assume that they would be releasing or at least have
someone else release a blue-ray disc player around the same time as well. Otherwise I would imagine
that the blue-ray movie sales would be... well minimal haha. The new movies are supposed to be about
15-20 percent more expensive than DVD... which seems reasonable for movies that I might not already
own. I don't think I would rebuy the same movie just for the higher resolution....

Problems With Lg Dvd/cd-rw Combo
...not reading burned DVDs (2) I have a strange problem and I hope some of you can help me solve it. Not long ago I made some
backup DVDs of my work. I made them at my friends, because I don't have a DVD writer. When I
try to open them in my computer, I have major problems. Sometimes it works, but mostly it
doesn't. My DVD/cd-rw combo unit from LG reads it as blank cd. It is strange, because sometimes
I get lucky and all the content of DVD is there and I can use it. But this happens after many
repetations of eject - go in - eject - ... Does anybody have a more stable and permanent solution....

Sony Th55 Review!
www.cliehelp.com.ar (0) Hello, i want to share this review, maked by Daver (a Sony Clié user) that maked it a send to me,
this review and a lot of info are available in my site: http://www.cliehelp.com.ar Screen
One of the best features of this Clié is the 320-by-480 pixel (HVGA - half VGA) screen. This is
double the size for most Palm models and many other PocketPCs. In the case of PDA's, size does
matter. The screen measures 3.8 inches, the same size as Sony's NX-series models. Unlike
Sony's other models, the UX40 and UX50, the TH55 doesn't have a physically reduce....
