| | I am running Netscape Navigator 7.0 and for some reason the shoutbox module here at Trap 17 is not coming up properly.
This is what I get
The side panel module doesn't appear either in the edit/post mode that I am using right now.
Me thinks it may have something to do with java script. I do have it enabled in preferences/advanced.
Can somebody tell me where to go and what to do to correct this? |

Java and Javascript must be enabled for the Netscape browser. Consequently, the new shoutbox was designed primarily for Firefox. This cannot be controlled by Trap17 for the author (programmer) of Shoutbox (Dean) mainly concentrated the compatibility for Firefox. However, by the looks of the screen shot provided it looks like the forum and your browser failed to synchronize correctly. I get the similar "blank" look of the shoutbox when my browser (Firefox) is behind a firewall, failed to accept proper cookie sessions, or when my internet connection is "slow." Try at different time when accessing this forum. Try refreshing as well. When all fails try it with different browser. This can tell us if it's a browser or something else's the problem.

I am viewing your post with Netscape navigator 9.0b n everything is showing fine. I would recommend you update your browser n also enable cookies n make sure your have java runtime environment installed in your computer so you can view java enabled web pages. You can download the JRE6U1 from www.sun.com

Thanks for the input guys. I am using Zone Alarm and my server said something about Modzilla. It might be that things are not synchronized as you have said Buff. I will not be able to upgrade my Navigator as I am still using Windows 98. I can see everything just fine in iExplorer, so will stick with it for now. I am having trouble accessing Paypal using iExplorer for some reason, it crashes at that site. That is why I switch over and us Navigator on occasion. I will be so glad when I get a new puter and OS, but will have to struggle along for now with what I have. 
BTW: I get a warning that the shoutbox is "not defined" in the JavaScriptConsole window of Navigator. Whatever this means.

Html Page Not Showing Up In Firefox
(1) Hi, I've tried to make a webpage in HTML using the frameset tag. Here is the code of the
webpage Sai's Makeshift Wiki And it's not displaying in Firefox. (I
mean is shows a blank page) It will show up in safari (I'm a mac user), all pages individually

How Can I Make An Auto-updating Shoutbox Type Script?
I have a few ideas involving AJAX but im looking for something more.. (4) Hi all. Ive just started to experiment with AJAX working with PHP and MYSQL to get data and display
it and im looking to implement it into a shoutbox similar to the one here on the forums but i have a
question... i know how to use ajax and JS to refresh the contents of a DIV every few seconds r so
and that essentially reloads the shoutbox content as the REFRESH button does up there ^^ on the
shoutbox but i think it silly that it should update every few seconds even if theres no new activity
so what im looking for is a way of letting my AJAX know when there is a new ent....
My Domain Showing Blank Page (not Timeout) On Load [resolved]
It works through an "anonymous" proxy (6) As far as I know this problem has been on me for one, maybe two weeks now. When i try to access my
site all I get is a completely blank page. The source code also shows a completely blank page. I
would provide a screenshot, but there's nothing there to see!!!!!!!
Bear in mind it's not a timeout error, and the title bar, instead of showing the real "page
title" and favicon, just shows my site's address. This problem is the same in both IE & FF. I
CAN login to the administration area for my site with /administrator/ on the end, and ....
Addon Domains. Having Problems?
My addon domains are not showing in the control panel. (2) Hi. I just want to find this out before I submit a support request. It may probably be a global

Shoutbox Bug [resolved]
(14) I wasn't sure where else to put this but basically the shout-box doesn't work in safari. At
all. I don't know if i can send messages or not, but none of the messages show up. The old
shoutbox worked until you updated it, and i thought you would fix it or something, but i guess this
is the final product because it hasn't worked for about 5 months. It would be nice if it worked

Phpbb2 Error
recently showing up (4) I tried to install a mod. Did it successfully but didn't like the end result. So I went through
the install backwards and reverted everything back to how they were. Now I am getting this error.

How Do I Remove This External Storage From Showing?
(0) I have been having a peculiar problem. Everytime I boot up the computer, there would be external
storage in my G: drive. When i click on it, it shows me that this is inaccessible, I can only
deduce there isn't anything there because other than my printer, I am not using any of the USB
slots. Is there a way to permanently remove this G: from showing up unless a removable media is
plugged in. Can any of the gurus tell me how I can solve this problem? This is not a must, but I
just don't like my computer looking funnily, yeah thats just me.....
