| | Well everyone, this is a brand new sub-forum and I decided i would start a topic that would be an overall topic for the whole sub-forum. So, what would you guys say for this site? Why did you vote what you did above? My recent activity there has given my this impression:
It's a good site, but so far the programs i have seen there are not all that great. The idea is a superb one though. I think if they start to get some better programs on there i might use it more.
If you have never gone there go there now and see what programs there are. Download that programs and tell us your overall experience for the site. |

Dear members, if you are going to review a specific software you have downloaded and used, please start its own topic by: Topic title as SOFTWARE TITLE - REVIEW and describe your likes and dislikes of a particular product/software you downloaded. Please do not start a topic if you have not used it or ask for software product support. This forum is strictly for review purpose. You can only ask for product support if, and only if, a topic already exists AND you have seeked the manufacture's technical support first.

Go top of this page, and look right under the forum ad banner. Do you see "Giveaway of the Day...Today's giveaway is..."? That's what we're talking about. Remember to read forum description by existing one level up.

I voted a four on Giveaway of the Day overall. It is very useful on helping you realize what is out there. There are programs that have shown up that I have never heard of before but have some really good uses that I didn't think were possible like XStarter. It is a great concept and there are a lot of programs able to download that are still free that weren't put up as the specific one for the day. There are a lot of useful ones, just search for something and you may find it in their database of free programs. What is really funny and coincidental, is when my brother was talking about a program he'd like to have, it just so happened to be the giveaway of that day. Of course if you don't like the program you can get rid of it. The one thing I don't really care for are the free screen savers they give away like they are today. I don't see the use of purchasing them so I find it even less useful to give them away unless everyday. I don't know though, maybe I'll try it out anyway. Great stuff overall though.

if anything is worth anything then you can gaurantee the person giving it away isnt getting something in return. i dont go in for this giveaway stuff because everything thry give away is rubbish. you could get better freeware Advice: Megagames - For shareware games CNet - For all downloads you can imagine

I donīt get it. Is this some kind of ads integrated in the forums in a sort of non-offensive way? Don't like it but if it helps to maintain Trap17, then it's alright.

I lurve, lurve, lurve giveawayoftheday. I have at least three programs I got from there that I use regularly. I'm so glad this thread is here . . . It kinda surprised me to see it pinned. But yeah, it's true that the programs sometimes kinda suck . . . but there are some really good ones every now and then.

I appreciate their effort to distribute commercial software as freeware but most of the time the software offered are not of the use of most of the audience. So, I give it a 3.

They provide screensavers, other times USEFULL programs - Some are not. But it's a great idea in general - And funny nothing like this has been thought of before! I vote 4 stars because it has a few bugs..

Brave Piglet -review
review of this giveaway game (0) I tried this game today. There is nothing special in this game and I can remember playing something
like this on my old nes console. Some wolves want to reach you by blowing balloons and you have to
shoot them down. There are some wolves which shoot at you in higher levels and some bonuses etc,
otherwise, it is very repetitive. Don't bother to download it.....

Game Giveaway (1) lol Although it is probably for little kids I think it's a pretty cool game. It was fun to play
and I played it for quite some time. It's sort of hard especially if you don't know what
you are doing and what will get you killed. You go around in a little train cutting out pieces of a
puzzle while the enemies bounce around. If they hit your trail it'll chase you until it blows
you up unless you cut out the piece before it reaches you. I enjoyed it for the time I played it.
If you have a young kid I'd recommend it.....
