Photoshop has more "ability", it can do more things. I've experimented with photoshop for about a month and still can't do many amazing things. They can both do the basic things. I'd choose photoshop because it has more features and such, though.

It depends on what you need, but photoshop is the best for when you make everything from scratch. Paintshop Pro is more for editing and touchups on photos etc. But overall photoshop is better

oh really .. but i do think the other way i think that i like psp better .. photoshop as the name suggested.. for photos ? and i like psp is that it can remove the background very easily .. eg. from a grey one to transparent one . i always use psp for my graphic effects and designs and i found it useful . and the most important thing is .. psp's file size is much more smaller than photoshop . but a psp8 also takes up 160mb  this is sad . i could still remember the old days when psp4 (? or 3 or older) installer is easily downloadable with a file size of less than 20mb. As the number gets larger . the file size also gets larger .

- It has community support.
- It works on many platforms.
- It's (pretty) stable.
- It's free!
If you've ever seen cooltext.org you know that Gimp has a whole bunch of filters and preassembled tools. If you're a fan of the functional language Scheme, go for Gimp since that's the basis of it's Script-Fu filters. And if you like free things (and who doesn't), Gimp's your tool. Granted, the community support isn't as great as that of Photoshop or PSP, but it's still there. Give it a try! You might be surprised...

Adobe photoshop is superior in features but psp has a good animation shop. I find that flash fireworks is useful as well but these programs are a bit harder to learn. So i would go with adobe photoshop.

Photoshop. I have used both. Firs I had PSP. I liked it very much, I had got used to it and so. Then i wanted to try photoshop. first i didn't understand anything there, but soon i understood everything in photoshop. it has more features than psp. and it's very easy and professional.

Adobe Solution Needed

Cannot Install Adobe Photoshop Cs3
(10) Hi, I have been trying to install adobe photoshop cs3 for a little over a week now. The problem is
when I'm installing at the end it says it has successfully installed shared components, but has
failed to install photoshop cs3 and shared components. This is really annoying because nothing that
I have found on the internet helps. Other people have had the same problem, but thats because they
have installed beta versions, which I didn't install! I have tried the CS3 clean-up tool
from adobe - that doesn't help either! The only other adobe/macromedia ....

Help with getting forms to work. (1) Hello, I was wondering if someone could point me into the right direction. I am using Adobe
Acrobat 8.1 and have (with varying success) tried to use the Livecycle form designer. As most people

Adobe Acrobat Reader Issue
Where should it be located for online site access? (7) I recently tried to read a pdf file from an internet site and received a message that
"Acrobat Reader" program could not be found. My copy is located here: "C:\Program
Files\Adobe\Acrobat\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" Where in the devil else would it be
looking for the exe file? Or maybe my privacy settings won't allow access to my puter for the

Help With Adobe Encore Dvd Menu Program
Want to extract menu from existing DVD (0) I tried search here but i literally couldn't find a thing about Adobe encore. I had used this
programs to make a menu system for a personal DVD. Some of the information on the DVD I want to

who's got it? --- opinions on pros & cons (36) ok, i've upgraded from photoshop CS to CS2. i like it, there's new features and perks that
make work so much easier. i don't like that the box beside the layers is gone, linking and
grouping, making layer sets, etc, is alot more time consuming than it was before. IMO, that should
not have been changed. But to make up for that, the ability to customise menus is there, a truly
