I usually only by a misclick. I know lots of people who are not very knowledgeable about the internet and they fall for every banner that says free emoticons, almost anything that has the word free in it. I usually see those ads as spam, and I really cant imagine how people can make money from them.... read more.
For all of you who have websites, do people actually <- snipped -> i mean why would they. one of my friends used to have website for my school's football team and a lot of people from my town actually go there. He couldn't really support the the site, so he put up a lots of ads and begged people to click on it. some people did but most didn't bother. some of the clicks or misclicks, since if you have dialup or slow dsl, your page will load slow and when you are about to click on a link, the link suddenly surge up or down because the page finished loading. man people were pissing because my buddy's site were full of ads and they kept on misclicking. other then misclicks and clicking to keep the site alive, do surfers actually bother to <- snipped -> }}
Well, as I know most of the people just don't bother themselves, and they almost never <- snipped -> .. Also i can't remember that I clicked any of those advertisement banners, neither any of my friends... At least they say so... Placing ads on your site can be payable, and that is really good when you need money for support. But, you should never place a lot of ads on your pages, because then people have lower opinion about your site, the only thing that attract their attention is advertisement and you can encounter ratings like :"Oh, I avoid going there, lots of ads..."

I click on them if I really like the site that has the ads on them. Like Trap17 and another site runned by a friend of mine. Although I generally like to <- snipped -> Ads more. They look more reliable to me. }
i don't remember myself if i ever clicked on any ads.. its so sick lol!! I mean i hate sites with plenty of ads.. Its makes the page loading slow i fink..
That Million Dollar Homepage was pretty cool. Actually made me wanna <- snipped -> At least they were up front about what they were doing on thier site. Most other people just load thier pages with ads and it looks hideous. All that stuff flashing in your face and the stupid pictures floatin around is a real turn off to a site.
I think the only time that I ever actually clicked an ad was when a google ad came up with a sale on green lasers. Everything else was a misclick. It happens a lot on CNN too cuz they put thier ads near the scroll bar so when u release the scroll thing u sometimes end up hovering over and add - and u release the mouse button without knowin and badaa bing you got yerself a free PSP}}
Well some people actually do. If I see something interesting on a site ill just click on it to check it out. Even if its an add. But sometimes ill <- snipped -> just because I like the site or the owner of the site exactly like Gyad does it. For example Trap 17. Even if I don't like the ad or it doesn't interest me ill still click on it and check it out.}
I had Google Adsense on my site about a year ago, and there are people who actually click those advertisements. When I placed it there for the first time I asked friends to click them if the visit my site, there are some responses. But later, I found out that people click them without myself telling the to. Maybe the ads are catching there interests and attention. You just need to have good contents so you will have good and worthy ads on your pages.
But in the case of your friend's website, too much ads on his site would cause annoyance and might prevent people from visiting the site. This might interrupt or slow the downloading of the pages because there too much things to download. And the people might recognize that he, your friend, is actually after the commisions and payments from those ads and not into good website development and giving out information about your school football team.
I suggest putting two or three stratigically-placed ads on every pages. And if he has so many memberships on those ad sites, place each of them on particular period of time. Like, Google Adsense for this week then Adbright on the next week. or if he wants all of them on the page, just place one of each. But I think there are some rules about placing an Ad with another Ad. tell him to read the Terms of Service and Use of those Pay-per-click site if they would allow him to place Google Adsense (for example) with Adbright.
BTW, I also click those site ads without people telling me to do so. Because some ads are just so tempting to click.
Ok. Yes people <- snipped -> I do that at random to support websites just 'cause
But sometimes it depends on what kind of ad or misclicks (like you said) Like on those anime sites, with the personal site banners--those are ads, I clickie on those.
But the ones that are like on this fourm? Nah. For some people, the offer is just too temptiing!}}

I think people click on them cos i do it on other wesbites myself too sometimes, if the ad is relevant and interesting. For example, if I'm looking for free web templates and google ads show up giving me a link, I;d definitely click on it.
Btw, do you know how much i've made with google adsense..? about $2.40 but i've been using it only for a week or two...

The problem with making people click an ad to get something, is most advertisers don't want to pay for clicks unless the person might buy something. So if they find out (and they will from the statistics of clicks to sales), they won't pay you for the ads, and they'll pull them from your site. It's called incentivizing, as in giving them some incentive other than their own interest in the ad. Ad programs will kick you out for begging for clicks on your page, or if they keep seeing the same IP's clicking the same ads day after day.
When I got to one particular site, I always clicked the Google AdSense by mistake because it's a log in site. The log in comes about 2 seconds before the adsense, when adsense comes on, it replaces the login, and the log in moves down. So as soon as the site comes up, I click the log in space, but then i end up cliking the ad .

Many of us have pay per click programs or are looking for one. Well i discovered that many pay per
click programs trick or do not pay the money that you deserve. For example Bidvertizer is a program
that i used to have and my website is pretty famouse and befor Bidvertizer I used to have Google and
with Google i would get aroung 40 dollars a week but when I changed to Bidvertizer I was only
getting 1.20 a week. So i quickly discovered that i was not getting payed for the clicks. The reason
I changed for google to others was beacouse with google dropes their price once t....
I just signed up for this, its basically a pay per click program. It has a real nice and affective
client area. It just like google adsense. But I think better lol. Anyway the more popular you site
(more clicks you get) the more people start bidding on your website so your constantly getting
higher pay per click. Pretty cool huh. Defiantly one you should check out. Its free /wink.gif'
border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /> and no approval needed.....
Who knows that which website provides the best hosting and or hosted websites? /cool.gif'

Hi! With so many choices for ads, we are confused. Every option will have its goods and bads. In
your experience/opinion, which is the best? Helpful if you can also write a few lines to explain why
it is so... Googlue!....
