there was a company that would sell you a P4 that was clocked to 5. something Ghz, they used an air condition system that was built into the computer, crazy

I clocked my comp, but only by 20%.. from 2.0 to 2.6 GHz... and believe it or not, I use box cooler, that shipped with the original 2.0 cpu Of course, the case stays open at all times, and two additional 80 mm fans are installed, one of them blowing on the heat sink, and one blowing under the hard drive... On 100% utilization, cpu temp doesn't go over 50 degrees Celsius... As for eXtreme clocking... ir rulez! I enjoyed watching a movie where this guy, from Tom's Hardware Guide, clocked P4 to 5.2GHz, and cooled it with liquid nitrogen and chipset was cooled with some sort of compressor... and the cpu temp was about -190 degrees Celsius I just love this kind of things, i just wish I knew mora about hardware, so I could do some of that eXtreme stuff...

I overclocked 700 Mhz to 800 Mhz with just 1 fan... The result, the motherboard was damaged! Can't read my two memory. And, when I open my pc, I hear a siren!

I actualy clocked the machine about 5 hours after I bought it and it's runing at that speed since... that's about... two years now... And most current thing... my system is up for 540h 5m 50s and it's WinXP Pro SP1... and believe me... apache/mysql are constantly on-off, on-off... UnrealIRCd the same... playing NFSU2, and other games... SETI@Home always running... I'm just trying to see how long the system will be stable Oh, yes... I'm runing Intel Celeron

I have never overclocked my computer but overclocking the graphics card is easier. I dont risk overclocking the computer its to much money to risk. But i take risks on the graphics card even though its pretty expensive but not as my as my Dell Dimension XPS.

I do a little, but I don't really need to overclock. My processor runs at 2.85 GHz. That isn't much of an increase from 2.8 GHz. It doesn't run any hotter. Sometimes, I will put it at 2.86 GHz, but I don't "try" to overclock. My computer is fan cooled, not liquid cooled. My Intel would probably heat up too much if I tried to overclock. I would buy a new processor that was faster to get more speed, not overclock.

Overclocking My Processor N Motherboard
Did some crazy overclocking here (3) ok, I know that I have quite a number of real crazy overclockings before. like clocking a 2.4GHz
Pentium IV processor to rum at 3.6 GHz (Woooow). That is a kool 50% overclocking and guess what?
Everything was still normalk even after the crazy overclocking....Can you believe that. I do
respect the Intel Northbridge chipsets as they really allow you to do some very kool clocking to
your processor, RAM and Northbridge. I have used a number of Pentium IV class processors and
motherboards (6 pairs to be exact) within a quite a very short interval of time (within the past 1 ....

Comp Reboots Before Windows Starts Up

normally and when it gets to the Windows loading screen, about after 5 seconds it reboots and then
it says there is a problem with it. (I'll try and get the exact message but it's really,
really long.) And it gives me the options to start in Safemode, Start Windows normally, or start
Windows with my last good recent thing. I choose the last one (start Windows w/ last good thing) and
it starts up, I see the desktop and everything until everything loads up then all the i....

Nvidia, and motherboard companies) take any responsibility for damage done. Overclocking past a

suggest googling). 1. The Basics -What is Overclocking? Overclocking is pushing ha....

have two HDD's, and a combo optical drive... I have added a small fan on my GFX card, and added
4 more fans inside a case, to cool the machine... Now, if I raise FSB speed to 135 or above, if some
heavy CPU usage is required, my second HDD will shut down, and in most cases, eve....

Overclocking On A Laptop?
advice needed (4) I've got a Presario 2568 with a Radeon 9200 shared graphics card. now in the BIOS it says i can

tehy're concerned , it isn't a bios option. but since it is, i would like to know whether or
not it would do any good to set it at 128 instead of the default 64. would that count as
overclocking, and overheat the chip? or would it simply be a waste of 64 mb memory?....
