There is no the Pentium 5 processors. By some people opinion, the pentium 5 computers are computers with DDR2 RAM memory, Sata HDDs, Dual core processors... I do not share this opinion. If you would like to buy a very powerful and mighty computer, you should buy this... AMD Athlon64 3200+ AM2 2 GB DDR2 RAM memory 2 SLi Leadtek GeForce 9300 (best buy for overclockers) Motherboard that is compatibile with parts listed up, I sugest MSI or ABIT This don't cost much, I can't say the price now, but 2 months ago it was like this: AMD Athlon64 3200+ AM2 120 eur 2 GB Kingmax DDR2 RAM memory 2x100 eur 2 SLi Leadtek GeForce 9300 (best buy for overclockers) 2x70 eur Motherboard that is compatibile with parts listed up, I sugest MSI or ABIT ~120 eur I think it is the best buy now...

Only AMD, centrino and the duel cores are out right now I give them maybe another 4-5 years before anything new comes out for processors.

What about the Xenon processer? I would look at http://newegg.com or http://tigerdirect.com for processors. They also have reviews before you buy them. I am also looking to buy a new processor and motherboard because I have a unpowerful celeron that doesn't do too much for me game wise. Although I don't have enough money to step up that far so I'll stick with a cheap Pentium 4 and whatever motherboard will fit in the case I have now.

yeh i don't think anything new is in teh making either. they'll further develop what we already have but i doubt anything new will be produced for another year or two. its really not that easy to create prducts which are much faster outof knowhere. they have to develop and research for a long time before they make any progress.

The new Intel Core processor is there already for a while. You can buy this CPU is you are self-building your PC. But if the brand computers are already using this CPU I don't know. I never buy Brand computers. It's a fast CPU on a lower clock then the D-core, it's also using less power and produces less heat. The new CPU is even tested faster then the current AMD CPU's. So for the now the Intel CPU are faster then AMD , this has been different for a long time.

I'd assume they are expanding the new Core 2 Duo, the quad core version of the CPU will be coming out soon. Maybe they will have something for the average home user coming out soon...

Processor Modes
(1) QUOTE Processor modes refer to the various ways that the processor creates an operating
environment for itself. Specifically, the processor mode controls how the processor sees and manages
the system memory and the tasks that use it. There are main three different modes of operation. The
8088 chip could only address 1 MB of system memory, and the original versions of Disk Operating
System created to work on it were designed with this in mind. This is called real mode. When a
processor is running in real mode, it has the advantage of speed, but it otherwise accesses ....

Overclocking My Processor N Motherboard
Did some crazy overclocking here (3) ok, I know that I have quite a number of real crazy overclockings before. like clocking a 2.4GHz
Pentium IV processor to rum at 3.6 GHz (Woooow). That is a kool 50% overclocking and guess what?
Everything was still normalk even after the crazy overclocking....Can you believe that. I do
respect the Intel Northbridge chipsets as they really allow you to do some very kool clocking to
your processor, RAM and Northbridge. I have used a number of Pentium IV class processors and
motherboards (6 pairs to be exact) within a quite a very short interval of time (within the past 1 ....

Word Processor
Which word processor should I use? (8) Recently, I purchased a new computer that came with both a full version of Microsoft Works 8

Processor Discrepancy
(0) I have a: Dell d600 Petium M 1.6 XP PRO ATI RADEON 9000 Saturday, I downloaded Age of Empires III
trial. After installing, I ran the program and an error message popped up stating that I didn't
have the necessary processor speed to run the game. It said my processor was running at around 500
Mhz (a high reading was just below 700 Mhz and a low reading was just above 300 Mhz). I thought
that because it was a trial, they hadn't worked out the kinks. Yesterday, a friend lent me Star
Wars Republic Comando and I received the same message. I called Dell suppor....
Pentium M Differences: 1.73ghz? 1.86? 2.1?
(2) Hi. Trying to decide how fast a chip (Pentium M) to buy for my next notebook. The HP I'm
looking at goes up to 2.13 GHz. I can afford to go with a 2.0 GHz, but can save $100 if I go
with a 1.86. I can save more if I go with a 1.73. Any advice on Pentium M CPU speed? Any reason I
should not buy the fastest one I can afford...without buying _the_ fastest (with the biggest price
premium)? My experience tells me it's not worth the money to buy the _fastest_ CPU, but to go
with a step down from the fastest. I'd appreciate any thoughts on this. Than....
